I guess that I have three main concerns:
Firstly, that things are going back to how they were before, with SG now a part of GW proper. I dont like that at all. When SG first came into being, it was like fresh air, and all of those things that GW had lost over the years seemed to be reappearing. Epic and Gothic and others simply cant compete with 40K, and they should not have to. More than that, the way that they are developed and marketted should be different. I am worried that GW proper simply wont recognise this.
Secondly, I really dont want Fanatic mag to be online. I want to be able to buy rule books and suppliments. If they are developed and tested online, then that is fine, but I really want a final 'official and tested' product to be available to those who want it.
Thirdly, if SG design the Tyranids and then stop I will be fine, as long as they make everything available again. My worry is that things will actually go backwards. With E40K we had all of the ranges available, and the bits and they were always there, even things like Exodites. Now, with the redesign, all of the minis were halted and the available range reduced. If this change leads to a 'dry up' of SG minis, then we will have no direct source and that could be a problem.
Aside from that, if only the existing range remains, then I will be happy. If Fanatic continues in magazine form, and the Tyranids get a redesign, then that will be OK by me even if nothing else happens.
But, already I am starting to sound like Fanatic is dead... it is not yet!
