Here's a (real) training video for forklift drivers from Germany. It's in German but even those who (like myself) can't speak German should get the idea...
WARNING: NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART!
Copy/paste the link to your browser. I wish we had training videos like this... www.saunalahti.fi/huhtaka/Saksalainen_t ... svideo.wmv
EDIT: and here's a question to native English speakers about the first sentence in this post. Which way do you understand it: 1) it is a video from Germany 2) it is a video for German forklift drivers.
1) was what I intended to say but suddenly I'm not so sure about the meaning of what I wrote...

Good lord, Mojarn, that had me in tears! Icky, but funny! Khornate Training Institute, I'd say. By the way, I understood (1); but it could have meant (2) as well.
PS - you should see what servitor-drivers get up to with forklifts the size of Ordinati...

1) was what I intended to say but suddenly I'm not so sure about the meaning of what I wrote... ? | This is a mistake even many native speakers make. I know I do. When I realize I have done it, I rewrite the sentence another way, like;
"Here is a real fork lift driver training video. It was made in Germany."
But the truth is, your English is often better then most of the Americans I know. I would be proud to be able to write as well in another language as you do.

Truth be told, for the most part, you cannot tell the nationality of people on this forum just from the posts. The english is pretty good all round.

1 and 2 . Our language is random at the best of times. Your English is better than my Finnish for sure. Cheers.

Oh, and for anyone who hasnt had OSHA forklift training, and has some doubts about the video being 'real' , they are doing exactly what the training specifies. Maybe a little unorthodox in the delivery, perhaps, but then, it is much less boring than my training was!

That's it! I mean it's gory, and even funny, but I guess it really sticks in your mind and reminds you what's not on when messing about with forklifts - never drove one, but had a couple at the sink factory where I worked and several at the shipyard. Useful beasts, dangerous only if misused. I wouldn't like Klaus to be on the workforce.... headless or otherwise. We had t6his forklift driver at the shipyard, with a big diesel lifter, he used to tell the men to place a coin on the crane rail for him: incredibly, he'd manage to manoeuvre this onto the blades and lift it up.
