Your Imperial Fists look gorgeous Frogbear, that yellow is just brilliant.

Thanks Haarken
I find that after the white undercoat, I use a wet pallette to place golden yellow on the mini. That does not give a great coat, but then I do a 2nd coat of golden yellow and the brightness really starts to build up. If the paint is thin enough, you can go a 3rd coat yet I have never found this to be necessary.
After this I do a straight wash with Gryphonne Sepia. I do not water the wash down, it goes straight on. If there is too much build up, then I dip the brush in clean water and try and disperse some of the wash.
After that, I build up the layers of yellow again on the higher surfaces.
The close up of the bike above was me experimenting with yellow ink. I find that it comes off very shiny. I may use it for the bikes, yet keep it away from the rider. Not too sure yet.
As for the fins on the bike, you are right, I am going to keep the darker back. It looks quite good when looking at the model with the human eye. The Macro camera shot really brings up details that the human eye does not see, and maybe should not
Looks like I will have to continue the painting now that I have strated it again. I hope to get the bikes finished this week if possible.
Thanks for your support
