That means all bets are off.  Characters may die, ships may explode, answers will be given, etc.

I'm okay with this, so long as it doesn't end up with flying motorcycles over Los Angeles... *shudder*

I just thought I'd chip in to say that I too love BSG.

Pretty much nothing on TV beats the moment the Galactica teleported into the atmosphere above New Caprica, fell 10,000 feet (Launching Viper aircraft all the while) and then teleported out again half a second before it hit the ground... the BANG-WHOOSH of air rushing back in again as the Galactica teleports a second time, scattering dust and sand everwhere, really sells the moment.

Yup, I got to agree with that.  :)

Still, I wish Firefly/Serenity was still on the go.  :sigh:

I used to think it was cool... but I was seven at the time and didn't know better.

I think Razor set the tone of dissapointment for me. I had imagined a far more grand and adventurous adventure for them before turning up. Not just some silly buggers attack followed by running after the galactica.

That surprises me. For me, Razor is almost unique in that it is a 'spin off' which actually doesnt suck. I am looking at you - Babylon 5: Crusade!

I kind of do also wish that Firefly was still with us, but I have this feeling that any seasons two and three would have just been disappointing.

Maybe, instead of getting BSG season 4, I should just watch the previous seasons again...

I cant necessarily see the drop in quality of BSG, but I do see a change in tone that some people may not like as much.

Heroes season two wasn't nearly as good as the excellent first season but I still think it was pretty good. The storyline coming together was pretty awesome (Kensei!).

From what I read season 3 of Heroes started of amazing.

Really?  I read a review that said it was very disappointing, and made little sense - they said it was as though the writers had forgotten all continuity and even what powers the different characters had...

This was probably the coolest thing I have ever seen on television... EVER.

There are some runner-ups (Stargate Atlantis and the big attack on the Replicator homeworld - I won't spoil it but it rocked in a big way).

Razor was IMO excellent.  Gritty, depressing, vindictive, violent, flawed - a true reflection of how real people would react under immense pressure.

Season 3 had a pause and a change in tone, but I really felt they did what was normal development of the characters and the story threads that have been developing.  I think there were two episodes where I said, "Hmm, okay but not impressive."  Compare that against other shows though and we are all on the winning end with BSG.

Back on Season 4 though.  The whole thing feels like they are building the conclusions to every story thread simultaneously.  In other words, they aren't going to answer why Baltar keeps getting visions of Six (and vice versa), then answer about questions about the final five, then reveal the fifth, etc.  I may be wrong but it seems like they are just going to save almost everything for the last 3-4 episodes and just floor audiences.

I really liked Heroes right up until the last two episodes of season one. These last two, and then season two, just disappointed me. Season three, episode one (episode two is tonight) was OK, and started with an interesting revelation, but I get the feeling that it will never recapture season one. It appears to be going the same way as Lost - just pulling the stories out for yet another season to cash in on, with the stories suffering. The background gets more and more complicated, jumping back and forward through time and opening more and more plot holes. I will probably watch season three of Heroes, but I dont expect a whole lot.

I may rent the Razor DVD and play it on my Lap Top ...  I missed too many scenes to get the full effect.  BTW, the Draconian Female Cdr of the Pegasus played Ensign Laren Ro on ST/TNG ...  Some interesting twists in Razor from what I saw ... Certainly shows humanity at it's worst and on occassions ... at it's best ...   :_(

Funny, bad and awesome and middle of the road review regarding Heroes season 3.

Biggest drop of level ever must have been Prison Break in recent years. Season was awesome (toying with realism but it made a great show), season 2 was mediocre and season 3 totally crap.

I thought CS's Heroes/Lost parody was spot on. I switched off midway through Season One. Just my point of view. It may have got better but I'll only find out when I have nothing better to do.

Sorry to hear BSG is finishing. What are we going to do for that Sci-Fi viewing fix now?
