Yep. ?The regen card is a bugger. ?I saw an Imperator unload everything into one with help from a Shadowsword company and they did 20 wounds. ?The 'Nid player just hit it with the Regen card and up it got. ?Nasty, nasty, nasty.

Actually, we could just include Preatorians in the 33% cap too...d'oh (smacks head).  No one really abuses the titan/flyer thing ATM, but I'm not looking forward to the first game when someone lobs up with 3 Heirophants in a 4000 point game....

Hi!

I think this would be a good idea. Caps on some units would be a good idea.

6-8 titans appropriately armed should do it. Tons of multi-dice weapons on most, with a couple really tooled up for HtH and you'd probably do the Bio-Titans in :).  A Slann Razorfang is 1000 points and nasty, and it could not deal with the 600 odd point 'Phant.  Then again, a couple of freaky dice rolls and even a tactical detachment has a chance of knocking one over......hard balancing act I guess.

One thought I did have was perhaps a 'Nid titan should permanently lose a wound each time it fails to regen one....so at least you stand a chance of wearing it down.  (eg:  I do 4 wounds to a Hierodule in a turn. In the end phase the 'Nid player regens 2 wounds....it now has a total of 4 wounds.  I do 3 more wounds next turn.  The 'Nid player may only try to regen those three wounds, the previous 2 now being permanent..... etc.)

Hi!

Funny that you should mention this zap, this is exactly the rule I implemented in my Heresy rules for creatures with regenerative capacities.

I've used this enough under Heresy to think it may work well under netepic.

What do you think?

Hi!

Please note the regen card in netepic 5.0 only regenerates 1d6 wounds NOT all wounds.

I think it would be a great idea. ?It still means that the Bio-Titans can't be knocked over with a lucky shot early, but sustained targetting of them over a couple of turns is also rewarded. ?I would suggest this in addition to the "Penetrating affects both the Critical roll and the subsequent Critical Damage roll." ? Together they should go some way toward addressing the near-invulnerability of the Bio Titans.

Hi!

Then have this rule admitted. I have used it enough under Heresy to feel very comfortable with its effect in netepic.
