Played a round last night, pretty good. Found that the army tended to slow things down, and that the civillians and police cars were pretty much useless... (we were not using any monsters with the food source power). I had downloaded Monster Pack I and II (available on the Web site) and there are a few, ahem, combat monkeys in there, such as a guy named 'Ogre' that just had high ST and a bonus to his Club attack at +6d6, giving him 11d6 damage if he whacked you with it! 'Course, that is all he could do... How do you guys balance the Army points vs the Monsters? Cause the way I read the book, it says you get 30 or 45 points (depends on what level of monster you are facing) for the army, no matter how many monsters you are facing! Which is why the army lost in that game...that and the fact that he loses points if ANYTHING is destroyed (and beleive me, there was alot of that going on ) and only gains points if he takes down a monster, which is extremely difficult. What do you guys think?
my 2cents,
iblisdrax

Hmmm....I don't think the first 2 books are available in download form. I can't find any link to do that... Only the expansions can be downloaded, and they aren't available in softcover.... Maybe I'm just not looking in the right place, but I can' find it either, Van. Why, is there a problem shipping it, or you just don't want to wait?

You can get cheap Thomas the Tank Engine type versions for around $4-5!
Even more fun stomping on HIS stupid smiling face and then flaming it with "Godzilla Breath"

Hi Tas,
*** Would you ask Patrick to E-mail me at MaksimSmelchak@yahoo.com ? ***
You're on the pay board so he listens to you.
I've sent several E-mails now and not received a single reply.
I tried the office but it was closed last week... out on extended lunch?
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

I've emailed Patrick Sweeney for you mate. ?I think they were out for Summer vacation.
The good news is that the next supplement is abou to hit the streets. I helped put it togteher and while I haven't seen the final layout or the artwork yet, it is pretty cool:
From: http://www.firefly-games.com/
"Battlegrounds: New York City is fresh out of layout and goes on sale next week for $2.95 here at our Online Store and via our friends at Ronin Arts on RPG Now, Drive-Through RPG, Paizo.com, and elsewhere. This 10-page PDF expansion for our Monster Island fighting games features the Big Apple in all its glory for your monster-smashing enjoyment."
"Inside Battlegrounds: New York City, you'll find:
- Details on the history and layout of New York City, including the five boroughs, Central Park, major rivers, and New York Harbor. Also, details on the history of the Big Apple in the world of Monster Island. - Twenty-two key buildings, including airports, skyscrapers, and a nuclear power plant. - Eight New York City landmarks, from the Brooklyn Bridge to the Empire State Building. - A new civilian unit for human armies ? the fire boat. - Four new key building types, such as the theater and church. - New rules for battles in the 1930s, including five brand-new human army units of the 1930s ? featuring biplanes and dirigibles!"
So now you can play King Kong, Beast from 20,0000 fathoms, Godzilla (US version) and many more!
And yes V - that means you can mix Nefs with Kaiju - HOW GOOD IS THAT!
