Yes we are sure. If you could get to the site, you would see the photos he posted were part of a full discription of how the system worked. Oh and the text that is on the photos was from the site as well.

Here is a Video you can get that shows them "landing":

The Flying Carriers
Airship History Series
What a find! This two-hour long video focuses on the USS Akron and the USS Macon, two lighter-than-air ships that were built for the U.S. Navy in the late 1920s and early 1930s. You'll see construction, testing, operational service... and wreckage, too, as both ships met unfortunate ends. Perhaps most incredible is the air launching and recovery of early fighter planes from these massive airships - truly designed as aircraft carriers in the sky! 110 min., VHS.

Yes, they also had  on the H/WAR(!) Chan. a show about recovering parts of those aircraft and one of the blimps off the CA coast, IIRC.  Watching the H/WAR Chan. now !       :D   Wouldn't have it any other way !

And now I've got this ridiculous idea of a Harridan named 'Hindenbug' dropping off and picking up gargoyles...  :p
