Hi Guys,
I've just finished reading "The Forge of God" by Greg Bear"... great read!
It reminded me of Pournelle's "Footfall." ?

I always like the Man-Kzin Wars series, but as I read a friend's set I dont have my own and its hard to find the early books nowadays. Still, a good read with lots of moderately 'hard' sci-fi

Talking about Slammers, has anyone seen the "Game rules" or the "Hand Book" That came out of the Club in the UK?

Shabbat Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak. | Nice one Maksim, have you read any of his other books?
Hard SF at its very best in my opinion- Eon is a work of genius.
I have Darwin's Radio and Vitals ready to read when I find the time too.
I finished Fatherland a few days ago- my my, what a fantastic novel. Grim and gripping to the very end- Harris realises his 'what if' societey so well, it is almost a historical novel. Top stuff, highly reccomended.

Hi StormSeer,
*** StormSeer: Nice one Maksim, have you read any of his other books? *** |
Yes... several others. Liked them all. Bear is a real scientist and turns out great hard sci-fi.
StormSeer: Hard SF at its very best in my opinion- Eon is a work of genius. |
I haven't read "Eon" yet.
StormSeer: I have Darwin's Radio and Vitals ready to read when I find the time too.
I haven't read "Vitals" either, but I have read both "Darwin's Radio" and the sequel and both were rivetting reads.
Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.
