I like the difference in tastes. I wanted a wife, not a gamer. It makes each distinct. I'm happy with that. :)

I agree. I Married my wife for many reasons, none having to do with Games.

Now, would I mind if she wanted to game? No, it would be fine. But do I Need a gamer wife? Nope. ?:D

Hi!

To be honest, I would be somewhat freak out if she gamed. Its like her hobbies that I dont share, it define each of us. We each politely listen to each others hobby related stories, but like that each has their "own thing".

Although I agree, there are moments when I wish I could discuss some game topic with her and have a good discussion. You know, a rules debate or some such.

But those moments pass and I return to reality.

Don't get me wrong, I never expected my wife to participate in my hobbies. It would have been an execellent bonus, but hardly expected. What I did expect, however, was that she would at least tolerate my hobbies. Sadly, that hasn't happened.  :(  My wife has hinted that she doesn't "approve" of my hobbies, being silly and a waste of time.

--------------------------------

I had a friend who was a gamer from our group. His wife insisted he stop playing "those childish games and grow up". He gave me his entire game collection.

His wife took him to parties and about a year later he divorsed her and ran off with one of her "friends".

So as my wife said to me, "At least with the toys, I know where you are and whith whom."

There are far worse things then a grown man playing with some painted toys.

Hi!

My wife thought on the same line until I gave her the follow line:

"what would you prefer, me haning out with friends who drink and may introduce me to women that may lead to infidelity, or playing a "silly game" at home where you know what I am doing at all times...."

I have not had much problems since.....  :;):

Interesting, reallife helped my wife come to the same conclusion. Out in the Garage or at the Game Store is much better.  :p

Besides, that way she can claim a right to spend some "silly" money as well. I get my little men, she gets her jewlery.

Hi Guys,

My girlfriend buys beads and magazines...

But I tolerate it because she actively encourages me to enjoy my own toys...

I even have her so well trained now that she looks at packaging before throwing it away to see if I'd like it for terrain...

That's true love, eh? :D

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

Buy this girl a ring and marry her. She is a keeper.  :;):

Heh.  My wife will do that, but she normally says something along the lines of, "I suppose you'll be wanting to keep this piece of trash for... something" while giving me a slight curl of her lip.

Of course, for all that, she IS actually going to the trouble of giving me the opportunity...
