Hi!

Precisely. Any "epic get together" should be a friendly get together of people who like epic.

I really dont want to interact with anyone beyond those of this group. I had my fill of the "certain types" 40k and warhammer tend to attract.

An epic convention, for me at least, is more an excuse to meet "face-to-face" all of you and do something we all enjoy.

When GW ignored Epic at their Games Day here in Los Angeles. What can I say, why put that much effort to make them money when they could not have cared less then they did.  :L

I lost the "faith" in GW a long time ago, but I lost the desire to do missionary work because of the lack luster attitude they projected this time.  :{

So I come here, enjoy good people and good conversations and let the rest find it's own way for now.

Couldnt have said it better myself...  :)

I made GW money as a retailer long ago. If they want exposure they can use their considerable resources to do it themselves.

Of course, we long haul travellers would need more than a single event to justify such a journey.  I'd opt for a round robin tourney of 4 different cons, in different areas, interpersed with battlefield tours and tourist trips.


You are welcome to stay a night or two at my house on your way cross country, Tas.  I'll even buy you a beer or two.  :D

It still boggles my mind why GW doesn't do more to support epic. Can GW possibly be so blind that they don't realise that there is a vibrant epic community who collectively would literally spend thousands of dollars (or pounds sterling, or euros, etc, etc) to by new minis and printed supplements? (Yeah, I know, they are that blind) What possibly irritates me more is that GW claims everything is hunky dory for SG games. If we see any new minis after the feral orks, I'll be surprised. It would be a very pleasant surpise, however.  :D

Hi!

The reason is simple DS, one reason...

...Epic 40k....

They have not forgotten (or forgiven) that flop. GW never forgets that sort of thing.

It will take an act of the almighty (or failing that a full pruge of all management) to make them support epic again anywhere near Space Marine/TL levels.

I pray SG preserves the EA line to make the long promised and awaited Chaos and Nid minis...

But that is a shallow and fading hope :(

Me too. I could not care less about Chaos (  :p  ) but I want the newer looking Nids.
