Hi!

Hehe.

Deep down, I WANT to beleive GW would do epic justice. That they will support it indefintely.

The new yorker in me however tells me to get real.... :;):  :p

Nice to see the list I'm in charge off fetches such a sense of optimism onto this board :)

The list you are in charge of is great.

But the histrical track record of GW, well that is different.

Hi Guys,

*** Exactly hpow many background forces are in the AMTL list? ***

It sounds like the current AMTL list includes all of the following:

- Titan Legions

- Knight Households

- Adeptus Mechanicus vehicle and infantry forces...
(Leman Russ Tanks and Skitarri mechanzed infantry)

- Adeptus Mechanicus Superheavy vehciles such as Ordinati

- Capitolis Ordinatus...

*** So... how many of these are included or not included in the AMTL list? ***

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

Yep, I think you are correct M/S !  It's a hybrid melding of a lot of fluff, etc., from different Epic eras ! :)

Shalom,

I've got the last two down as one and the same (minus huge tunnelers, plus Capitol Imperialis), but everything else is present and correct at various levels.

Problem comes when people want more (artillery, half the Imperial Navy, etc) instead of working with what we have, assuming the AMTL is a base list.

For my next trick, I shall get Jervis to answer some of my questions.....

Never mind indefinitely, I'd be happy if they supported it for as long as Jervis indicated it would take to get it all done (2010, IIRC). The pessimist in me tells me it won't happen.

I'll agree to this. Towed artillery seems kind of silly, but SPA seems to be appropriate for a mechanized army. I certainly would like to see AAA, like the Hydra. If we go by previous fluff, then IMO there should be minimal Imperial Navy.

TLs don't need much FA ... Titans are mobile weapons platforms.  However, ADA/AAA/Flak are needed for something as big as a Titan/Target ...

Have you still not gotten any comment with respect to list direction?

Man... that seem sort of unlike JJ.

I do know that he is in a mood to push hard to get some closure on some of the lists - mostly the stuff that was at the top of the to-do list when the printed expansions plan was in effect.  Maybe that's pulling his focus.

neal- when I checked my email this afternoon, he'd responded some time in the last 24 hours; sent some follow-up questions off to him, and have posted the reply on the AMTL board.

It might help if he was visible on the forum at some point, and if we knew precisely what "improved online support" can mean when you're missing over half your staff.

THe bottom line is, JJ is not being backed up by the company. He can only do so much and then he is done.

GW and their failure to support Epic is the real issue. JJ is just doing the best he can with the situation as it is.

Hi!

Jervis is in a "lose-lose" situation. He tries to do the best he can with what little is given to him, but since its not enough the situation only worsens. He's only one employee, not the boss, certainly not who calls the shots for resource allocation and marketing strategy. It doesnt matter how many fans help him, since GW will only evalute on the merits of revenue made vs. resources spent. They made that decision and it is in epic's detriment.

For me its like surfing, ride the wave until it dies out and get the most of it.

...and hope for another wave soon......

I know exactly what you mean Primarch. Let's enjoy the wave while it lasts. if epic is like most of the GW games, eventually there will be a new edition.

I think this may be Epic's "Last Round-up" ... but time (and sales) will tell !  :;):

Actually, I think the revenue v effort is in Epic's favor.  Since the EA release, it's consistently outperformed any company estimates and you know the profitability numbers were crunched from a conservative financial perspective.

That makes me think the problem is the overall performance of the Fanatic games, and Epic is just being sucked down with the rest.
