Anyways, I never got the pizza either...

but I HAVE come to the conclusion. Sort of....

It's not going to be a Blood Axe Lander.

Neither will it go to the Dark Angels.

Or the Angels of Fire.

It will go to..... (drum rolll).......

..... an as yet unidentified SM chapter which will not be any of the above, or Ultramarines, or Grey Knights, or Imperial or Crimson Fists, or Raven Guard, or wossnames the techy black ones with bionics, or Black Templars. Which leaves Blood Angels, Space Wolves, and another 992 chapters at least.....
They won't be blue or yellow or red or black or metallic, or purple (although the Pointy Sticks tempted me) or orange. Or pink. Brown, grey, green (dullish), and white are in.
What prompted all this (well, apart from the colour considerations)? CS, the boss himself. I remembered the crucible. And if I'm in the mood and find some time, I'll plagiarise his list of warband selections and transform it into an Imperial one. Based on Marines, with a few friends from the IG, sisters, Ad Mech and Inquisition. And maybe... Squats? The Imperium will rise to the challenge (fill in with a few pages of droning waffle, Imperial flavour) set by Chaos. Now remember, don't tell CS. Better go before I decide on an Orky crucible band......

Oh - as for the Lander, it won't be a choice on the table, but it'll be the champion's personal transport..... :cool:

Actually, once again our minds seem to be going along the same lines... My plans to expand the CoC rules go along the lines of:

- Inquisitor Warbands
- Ork Mobs

CS, I've PMed you. So I'll not discuss the Crucible issue further, other than to say:
1 - I'm adopting a new chapter for the Crucible force AND the Lander
2 - My Crucible force will be extended to a very small rapid deployment SM force, helping the poor old Squatachans out.

Thanks for the comments all, and stay tuned for pics of the Lander in - ummm - 10 months' time? :( :p

UPDATE - I've changed 4 schemes so far - I've had visions of grey, grey with yellow, green, brown, and dull metal with red flashing across what goes for a mind. Aaaargh! But I think I've found a solution at last. This thread is now abandoned to the Dark Angels, to whom it should have belonged.    :{

...for what I'm calling a Landwaster is of course welcome. And so my very loosely DA army starts with heavy artillery - what better way could there be? These guys will team up with my Angels of Fire, and (of course) with the Squatachans.  :D

You know Vanvlak I really like it.  It does look like something you would see in Red Square parade.  

It looks great.  

As for stats how about

Type: Armored Vehicle
Speed: 20 cm
Armor: 4+
Close Combat: 6+
Firefight: 5+

Weapons:
Heavy Bolter 30cm, AP4+
Rocket launcher: 150cm, 2BP, Disrupt, Indirect Fire, Slow firing

(I just stole the stats from the manticore they seemed like the same size rockets)
