Finished the hours of sanding needed to complete my second ATB deck... just varnish, paint and assembly to go now before the whole board is finished!

I won't go on to describe how I will hopefully be getting the graphics for this one professionally created and printed up, at no cost to myself, then Primarch....

Hi!
Skateboard?! You mean its not the start of an epic storage box, or an ork space hulk?
|
Thats what I thought at first, but discarded the idea due to the lack of a red color or appreciable lid.....

LOL
..and no, it isn't a skateboard, the deck is much bigger as it is a Mountainboard... it will be fitted with all-terrain tyres and footstraps.

Done some more work on my Ork Skorcha.
Having washed the model, I went and gave it a drybrush to tone down the wash and accentuate the detail.

I also did some more on the motorbike front and the fuel trailer.

Someone likes chestnut wash/flesh ink.... terrific finish, Jimbo. Incidentally, for my very small and weirdly diverse collection of comics (Maus, One Bad Rat, The Watchmen, When the wind blows, The League of extraordinary Gentlemen... etc.) I just added the GW Deff Skwadron. Now I'm not overly enthusastic of all Black Library publications, but this one IS funny, and has the much missed Orky humour, so absent from current Orks in official fluff. Now these boyz are flyboyz, of course, and couple with your efforts, I might give them a try after the T06G.

Assembly of the tank went easily to the point where it had to be stopped for paintjob application. And then everything went weird.
I came to realisation that: 1. Almost all my Pactra paints are dried out. 2. Those that are left are definitely not suitable. 3. I cannot buy new paints since it's halfway through the weekend 4. I don't have other paints then Citadel range and 5. No Citadel paints I have are of appropriate colors.
So I went and began mixing them in my last empty pot. Beginning with Dark Angels Green, I tried adding Bad Moon Yellow and Sunburst Yellow. This ended in a rich, bright green. Not suitable. Then I added Bleached Bone and Vomit Brown. Kind of better. The color was too greenish. More Bad Moon Yelow. Too bright. Bucketload of Snakebite Leather.
After several adjustments of colors in the mix, I ended up with a nice shade of khaki. Don't ask me for exact color proportions, I have no idea what they are.
Now, to wash or not to wash?
Finished putting together the secretary's computer and W98 installation.

Primarch | It is in fact available as a kit.

However I have only added armour skirts.
Thick 2mm plasticard with thin plates added. Slices of plastic rod are used for the rivets which I have also applied to the mudguards.
I have converted the driver on mine and added a glyph to the front of the motorbike.

...Speaking of "Red 'unz"...
Here's a blast from the past. One of my all time favourite miniatures is Ral Partha's Red Dragon Of Krynn from 1989. I remember seeing this mini as a kid and thinking that it was the absolutely most amazing miniature in the world. Actually it is not that bad even by today's standard. (One thing that has allways bugged me is how GW do their dragons. I think Forge World are the only ones who has come really close to what I think a real dragon should look like...)
Anyway I was extremely happy when my latest E-bay purchase arrived a couple of days ago. It certainly wasn't cheap but it was nostalgia well worth the money!
I've been giving it the basic coats and shadings but still need to do a lot off detail. I'm not really happy with how the claws are turning out right now so they'll probably get a re paint. On the other hand I think the leathery effect on the wings is coming lalong nicely. Unfortunately due to the very yellow lighting the shading and highlighting on the skin doesn't show very well. I'll do some better pics tomorrow or when I've done some more work.
Cheers!
