hi all,
I'd mentioned it some time ago in my To6g thread, that time when I named a cruiser the Archangel Gavriel, that the name had been suggested by the memory of a ship I'd seen wrecked on the coast here. I was around 3 or 4 then, but I distinctly remembered the huge bulk stranded on the rocks, so out of place there... and I had nightmares about something on the deck which for some reason had huge laughing faces on it in my dream (chaos?) - I never worked out what it could be, but at last I've found one of my grails - a photo of the wrecked ship. A friend had a print somewhere and I managed to scan it. And I discovered the source of my ancient nightmare too: it was a collection of large vent pipes clustered around the funnel. |Weird, this, for some reason I'm positive these were the face-things in my dream.
Another ghost laid to rest, I suppose.... sleep well, old ship.
