Mental note: Don't put photos of 40k terrain up immediately before WMN posts Epic stuff.

Nice Landas, though.

An interesting looking machine D...
Very nice article on sandbags as well- it'll come in handy when I build some for Necromunda!

Is "interesting-looking" a good or a bad thing, stormseer?

Oh good, no doubt! :;):

I like how it looks longer than the normal plastic cruiser, and without the aerials on top, it looks very sleek!

The only thing I'd change, if I were to do it again, would be to switch the WB and Launch bays - as it is, the launch bays stick out a lot, whereas the WB are very close to the hull. I'll try to get a pic to explain.....

It should be fairly simple to trim the Launch bays to make the hull slimmer if that is what you want. Nice loooking ship under all circumstances: Removing the Aerials certainly adds a lot to the ship's appearance.

Cheers! :)

Hi,

having dragged all of my Orks out on the weekend to get a game in, I've decided to do something with the mountain of old sprues that I store with them. This mainly comes in the form of 6 Big Warbands, one for each famous clan, along with eight Battlewagons each. And I thought I had a lot of Orks to paint when I started my Speed Freeks! ?:{ (actually its the basing I find more boring and time-consuming than the painting  )

Cheers,
Freshmetal

Only stuff I did was posting the first draft on Imperial Fists theming article over playtest boards, here.

Today: Assembled 10 BFG escorts, painted most of my 2 BFG Imperial Cruisers for ToFG, repaired Mars BC conversion which suffered in transit.

Plotted world domination via own website.....

Haven't done much in terms of actual modelling. I've been developing some ideas for re-converting a couple of gargants including my Feral Ork Steam Gargant. I'm afraid it is going to look a bit small next to the GW version, so I'm beefing it up a bit.
Also did a few minor additions to my scratch built BFG Avenger Grand Cruiser. I'm going for a brand new Prow look on this one: combining a Vengeance and Monitor prow will give a look like a Chaos cruiser prow with early prow armour added. Pics will follow one of these days. (edit: wow that's a lot of "prow")

I've also set myself the goal of finishing those 6 Ragnarok Tanks I drybrushed several months ago! It can't be that hard. Sheesh! Hopefully I can paint them tomorrow if time allows...

On another note I've been wanting to update the "workbench" area of the Epic Lounge for a while now. Most of it is written, I just need to snap a few piccies.

Cheers!

Cheers! :) :)

Finished the KV-2....erh...Ragnarok tanks! Woohoo! :D

Going through the box where I keep my Krieg Army I felt inspired to work some more on my Cadian army so I pulled out two artillery companies which are now next on my "to do" list. On the shelf is now a bunch of 1st edition models: 6 Basilisks, 6 Bombards, 6 Manticores (mk1 with the "football" radar) 2 Deathstrikes (V1 type) ?and 3 Forge World Hydras. All eagerly awaiting a coat of Catachan green followed by Camo green drybrushing. Pretty straightforwward actually.

Apart from that I've been snapping a few photos for an Incoming! article and doing a few minor updates for the Epic Lounge: Added the Landas and the Ragnaroks.

Cheers! :)

Oh, I forgot to add: Yesterday I also placed an order for various Forge World odds and ends:

Some Falcons (since they are cheaper than the SG ones) and a pack of Nightspinners.
Also 3 Shadowswords for my Cadians. My old Cadian Shadowsword and 2 Stormhammers will instead be assigned to the still unbuilt Catachan force.

Finally I got a couple of buildings so I can continue work on the Cityfight terrain I was working on a while ago.

Oh, and then I forgot to get a couple of BFG Dreadclaw assault pods. I mailed them to ask if they could add them to the order but still no reply...

With these things in place I only really need to wait till more of the new Swordwind stuff becomes available and place a Mega Order which will probably be my last in a long time.

Cheers!  :)
