Quote (TuffSkull @ 10 2003 May,15:52) | As for how to cast it jimbo, its not all that hard. I'm no expert but if you want to learn I'd sugest having a look at the casting Yahoo group. | Tuff
Do you have the actual Yahoo name or link for the casting group as I can't find it
Dropship has been updated again, with pictures of the fantastic WH World terrain. |
that terrain is superb...
if I only had the room to store it (and the time to make it) oh and the money and the expertise....

On the subject of casting, does anyone think it would be a good idea to make a mould of some of the old plastic sprues?
I have some IG, SM and SM tanks. Would it be easy to make a cast of them and make some plastic copies of them?
Cheers
Chris

Ignoring the fact that its illegal for a moment, the plastif inf would be pretty hard to cast without a centrifugal or pressure caster. Even then with the fine detail its unlikely that you'd get the quality. If it was easy dont you think GW would be doing it?
The tanks could probably be done. I chaos'd up a few land raiders and cast new sponsons for them a couple of years back. Worked OK. They're larger chunks so its far easier to cast.
