Done with the games for Abandonia. 60 titles in 106 MB is a lot.
Some minor work done on the miniatures. Not much, but the helmeted Sister finally has the icon sculpted right and some extra job has been done on the bit-marine's torso, fleshing it out a little.
I'm going to spend next few days playing the good ol' Space Hulk. "We are their doom..."

must be something in the air - I broke down last Fri and bought a new digi cam too |
Spooky! I am looking at a new cam too. A dealer will give me a 50% students discount on an Olympus E1 digital SLR cam. I am VERY tempted!
Hmmm. Warmaster, I've heard rumors that tanks in that game have about 100% first hit accuracy from the move and that Shermans bag King Tigers (from the front, no less) if they get to shoot first. I've also heard that infantry dies when you stare at them angrily. Is that true? |
Haven't handled King Tigers yet so I wouldn't know. There is some issues with armour penetration but I have expeienced AT guns with absolutely no effect on my tanks.
Infantry is very fragile unless you ad a medic to the formation. However once this is done their survivability is greatly increased. What I really like about the game is that it focusses a lot on combined arms. Terrain imitation is great too: You'll quickly find yourself in a lot of trouble if you drive your tanks into urban areas without a lot of infantry support.
Also you have to pick your forces before each mission and lay dowb your general strategy which is a great improvement over the usual "Command&Conquer" "buld and shoot" stuff.
Sure it has it's flaws but so far I've found it very entertaining.
Cheers!
