Just started painting some SM units and siege machine stuff as a break from the Grey Knights and Tau.  

Been also thinking about painting up some BFG stuff as they seem really easy to paint up.  No work as yet has started on my LoTR collection as yet.

Let me get this straight: You plan to cut up a perfectly good 40k scale FW Baneblade and convert it into an Ork Gunfortress? :O

Well not so much cut it up. Realy just need to make a new orkier main turret, lots of rivits n an orky paint job. Even I will threat such a beautiful model with some respect :;):

Big project yes, not my biggest, which is my scatch built Gargant :;):

I real must finish that soon :oo

Anyhows as usual I took the time to make a pic of my idea before commiting to it. Looks pretty good to me so far.
Im unsure weather Ill added the huge claw like krusha as it will get in the way on the two front mounted gunz, something that doesnt realy matter in epic, but in 40K someones bound to notice and say I cant fire those weapons fowards. :P  So maybe just a nice set of spikez instead.

Well here is my Ork Skorcha, which is well armoured.



Which if anything is *too* well armoured in that you can't really see the tracks. I might lower the tracks to make them slighly more visible...

Hi,

Finished the four Imperial ships from the BFG box today, all in grey/white with a red and gold prow. 1 Mars, 1 Lunar, 1 Tyrant, 1 Gothic. And I've got a game planned for Sunday which we may tie into a game of Epic in some sort of scenario. Not quite sure yet though.

Is it just me or do bits break on them a lot? Most of them broke either their prow ram or their base stand at some point even though I didn't drop or knock them. Fixed them now though, so will just have to be more careful next time.

With those finished, I've decided against painting anything new until I finish all the things I have half-finished. So a load of Epic bases and details to do, a handful of dwarf, high elf and ork Bloodbowl players to complete and a few other bits and pieces.

I'm also starting to write an Epic tactics guide for my website. More on this later however, as I may need the wisdom of the Epicomms elite to help with various units I've not used yet, but I shall endevour to write as much as I can from experience first.

THey're looking pretty cool, Freshmetal - maybe another coat of paint on the red on the prow, as something seems to be showing through on the Gothic (lance boat) prow, at least on the larger pic.

Things currently WIP (actually in progress, not just sat on the desk):

6 ToSG Tactical stands, inc Captain (undercoated, body painted, shoulderpads done on 3 stands)
Rogue Trader cruiser
Dominator cruiser, currently unassembled
Strike Cruiser, currently unassembled

Plans ahead for muchos painting (ie, the lot) tomorrow at GW.....

I am slowly regaining my interest in painting after a two month reading and FPS playing spree. The scary thing is I have been thinking about conversions.  :O  I must have caught something around here, possibly even the dreaded kr00za syndrome or warmaster brain fever...  :p

I received some reinforcements in the form of three beetlebacks from Justiniel and some Grey guard from Doc. I have also started to collect a Tyranid army (being an aspiring Primarch hath its responsibilities...).
