Just got home from the office xmas party and was still hyper so i took a couple of pics of my almost completed chapter just got to finish the scouts and try to find some assault marines(missing 4 squads)

right flank
center
left flank

Watch out they do not get too close to that large heating element on the left flank.

They look good. It must feel nice to get so close to your goal.

Very impressive, Centurion - great work.
I fixed a couple of models for a 40K game tomorrow - it's against the local champion, who's one of the two Maltese participating at the International tourney, so I expect to get reasonably well-mauled. He's also the only other Epic player in Malta apparently, and I'm trying to get him to play a game, although it's unlikely he will before the tourney.

I'm also assembing a great cannon for the empire.
And (back to 40k) buy complaining about 40K policy: I prepared my army list yesterday, and realised that the following models are no longer valid:
1 - Librarian without a force weapon (I have a bike-mounted conversion)
2 - Razorback with multi-melta (another conversion)
3 - A Dreadnought with a plasma cannon (one of the old dreads with - you guessed - converted weapons)
4 - A Dreadnought with twin-linked heavy bolters (the very expensive Inquisitor Lord  Wossname walker converted to a dread - and I did choose to give it a twin-linked heavy bolter...)
Four conversions - or around 400 points, no small amount considering I usually go for 1500 point armies in 40K - eliminated at a stroke, for no obvious reason. Aaaarrgghhh!
Not a good year for GWs PR effect on me - first SG, now this... *grump*

Guess who bought a Forge World plasma cannon for my dread?

I almost did, too, it's my favourite weapon in 40K, although I usually field loads of missile launchers. I wonder who came up with this brilliant innovation...Forgeworld must love him.

No "Count As" rule in WH40K ? When converting units in EA or basing them according to my own tastes, I find great comfort in the fact that I can still use them without problem thanks to the "Count As" rule...

Still have two mobs (2&4 each) of Ork Battlewagons (E40K vintage, some with "conversion bitz") WIP on my "workbench".  Last night I worked on my own versions (2) of "Supa-Gunz" to add to the E:A S/Gz. I'm going to mount the E:A S/Gz on E40K B/Fort Tracks.  So I'll have 4 (Self-Propelled) S/Gz in that Mob !  BOOOOMMmm !

I have a commpany of almost finished Devastators and a bunch of Rhinos which it is my aim to finish tonight. ...It REALLY shouldn't be that hard...but then again chances are that they'll be sittin unfinished on my desk staring at me tomorrow as well...  :p

If I can't pull myself together to do that there's still some stuff for Incoming which I haven't got arround to dealing with. Plenty of stuff to do, less than enough time to do it in. :O

Cheers! :)

Counts as is ok - but I usually only have time to play a couple of tournament games each year, and in this case, counts as doesn't. WYSIWYG all the way, which is fair enough, if WYS and WYG don't keep getting changed by GW!

vanvlak> 1 is still valid, but you have to buy him the replacement weapon, without getting a rebate on the Force Weapon.

2, 3 & 4 are valid if you have IA2 (Big Book o' Doom 2), though whether they are legal in tournaments is dodgy, but they are valid in any other game.

Ookay, so some progress is there.

Project: "Revenant" - Done most of the leg assembly on my "madcat". Today I'll try to do the final extras for another mech in the pipeline, the WarMaster WAR-02. This deadly Assault class beauty has to be seen to be believed...
Sculpted large part of a Fleur-de-Lys on the Sister's helmet front. Not so overt as the ones on the new SoB models, but still visible.
Got back to Callidus. I've tried sculpting the ponytail, found it much easier then expected. Unfortunately, GS settled too much and I had to remove it.
First of the two bit-marines is almost done. Minor GS fixes here n' there and we're done.

I installed DosBox on my machine. It paid off, as I have already extracted the music from Space Hulk intro and the Crescent Hawks Revenge title screen. Praise the record wave output option!

Finally, completed Act 2 of Bloodrayne without dying a single time. Hard it was, several attempts per day, but on Sunday I began to get the hang of it, and on Monday I did finally manage to do it all. Some parts were fun, like blasting running "zombies" with a rocket launcher... one of them was literally annihilated, maybe except for the boots...

Oh, and by a side note, finally got around to writing a prologue for a story I wanted to write all the year long.

Prologue

The universe. Silent, unchanging. And yet teeming with life... Many races have came and gone, many wars begun and ended. Now nothing and nobody remembers them. Their existence was as a blink of an eye to the eternal cycle of stars.
But every once in a while, an event occurs where destiny of millions is forgede by actions of few....

Soon something like that will happen again... a chain of events that can change the future of Mankind... forever.

Space. A blanket of darkness, dotted with thousands upon thousands points of light. They are bright and still as they always were. Just now, a new dot of light comes into existence.
Another star among thousands... but this one is not still... it is moving... it is growing

...coming closer...

...brighter with every second...

...

...this is not a star...

And then it is gone.

END OF PROLOGUE.
