True, though I never was high on them. Let's say I'll try to execute solid control over my finances over next few months, and then when I'll be done I should have cash for quite a couple of purchases - purchases that will allow my Dark Angels army to grow...

I've been playing a more political game now I'm engaged in a three front war (!) - I propose to each princess I find. ?If they say no, I assasinate them and thus redeuce the monarchy of rival countries which allows me to slay them more easily when I invade. ?

If they say yes, I then assasinate the rest of their family so my 'wife' inherits the country and passes it along to me , which I thus get without having to fight for it. ?

Nasty eh? ? ?Its effective, but reduced my popularity somewhat!

Ouch...

... That is mean, smart, effective Yes, but mean.

Oh I agree with him. I did not mean to say it was bad to play to win, just mean.  :;):

Why, what's wrong with dressing up as king Neptune when you cross the equator? All navies do it, anyway.... :p

Hi all,
I've managed to get myself in all sorts of messes now the astronomy course is over:
1 - the materials postgrad - working on a &*(&^* paper
2 - a transfer report
3 - the tale of 6-by-now gamers *grins* :D
4 - a Titan for export purposes
5 - an article on the engineering profession
6 - Christmas shoping
7 - (this sounds really stupid, but it's true, and I'm actually enjoying it) preparing a plan for Maltese participation in the EU-ESA (European Space Agency) Space Council. ???
8 - trying to work off the flu.

Now now - "Crossing the Line" ceremonies are an ancient mariner tradition!

The other good naval saying from WW2 about the risks and hazards to the Royal Navy to effect the evacuation of Allied troops from Crete was "it takes 200 years to create a tradition, and 1 day to destroy it"

Maybe a 'favourite quotes' thread is in order - I'll dig out some other favourites! :D

well, I'm back into my 15mm Fuedal era English DBA army and am thoroughly dissappinted with my painting to date- does anybody else suffer from a problem swtiching between scales?  maybe thats the other reason I like 6mm- I'm crud.  Somehow I dont have probs with tiny tanks and infantry though, just the bigger versions....weird.  The Primarch/Dafrca "hired gun" policy is looking good again!

Otherwise, just waiting for my choas hordes to arrive from the MEGATrade and playing about with my two beetleback Traitor Legio conversions.

Reading a cool book about WW2 Aerial combat vicotries - and the amazing exploits of Finnish Fighter pilots.  A very supressed area of military endeavour.  Their victories against the Red Air Force are quite outstanding.

3 sleeps until the big man comes in the night and fills my stocking with epic! :p

Hi,

Unless you are fighting a war against a horde of Rulebook writers! :D

Still waiting for my Chrimbo batch of Epic to arrive. No doubt the post will let me down and I'll have to wait even longer though. :(

Cheers,
Freshmetal
