Ah well Ed fortunately I still have the old old job to go back to -
but as of last week I have been officially on holiday or, to put it
another way, finishing off the historical version of Warmaster for
Warhammer Historical Wargames. Plenty to get into after the holidays
though - not least of which is helping to sort out the specialist
game support plan for Jervis.

Ahem - in case no-one here saw this gem of a rumour on the Warmaster mailing list. From Rick Priestley.

While this has been rumoured for some time, I think the foray into Warhammer Historical is a great thing (converting all those fanboyz to 'real warfare') and bodes well for a similar move at the smaller scale. ?I hope so anyway.

The historical rules have been having a lot of success with the Historical's crowd. So the questions becomes, turn Fanboys into Historicals or is it Turn Historicals into Fanboyz?

I think that Fanatic needs to officially release a set of historical Warmaster rules. The fan-based ones are really good, and there have been WWII games 'inspired' by the rules as well. I guess that Fanatic have nothing to lose right now.

From the rumour it looks like Warhammer Historical will be releasing Warmaster Historical *not* Fanatic???

I would guess that it would be released in the same format as the other historical titles (nice book) and that they *may* even release miniatures!

I don't think Fanatic are even involved.
