Re:T5H. Hopefulle we'll get to see pics of the banshee, judging from the time and effort you have put into it it must be a beauty. |
An ultimate eye candy, believe me.
Right now I'm almost done with painting the lens effect on all the gems, and a little startled by the fact that GW no longer produces matt varnish in any form. Damn GW. And I needed it. Guess I'll have to grit my teeth and finish the miniature without varnishing the matt bits, ie wit hlot of fixing and retouching when the paint comes off on exposed edges. ?
Will get her finished today, I think.
Found some time to install and play demo of Bloodrayne 2. Disappointed, to say the least. Majesco screwed up the best parts of the game BIG TIME. They also made the entire bloodsucking thing too sexual this time. And the "new" Rayne looks more like a hooker with mean attitude then a killer vampire chick, if you get what I mean.

Could we have a pic or two? even if it does seem a little strange showcasing a christmas present. I was looking in GW too at the weekend for matt varnish, most of the guys in there seem to go for gloss for some reason.

No digicam = no pics. I'll have to organise a meeting with a friend specially to have pics taken. Because of this, you can expect pics only when the whole mini is finished.
But it will be stunning, believe me.

Tas: re Medieval: Total War, Tom got me playing Rome:Total War which was the sequel and its great. I ended up buying the Medieval but I had to send to Tom because the Auction was UK only, so I will probably get it in the New Year with post being busy this time of year
As for painting, I am continuing the remaining Kroot and Stormtroopers for the Inquisition and the odd rhino.. I managed to prime a lot of minis black before it gets too cold here in Munich. So that should keep me busy during the winter

Whew! Done!
I wasn't mentally ready to work somwhere up to 9:30 PM, but after that I found myself not only working but unable to stop...
The Banshee is finished. All details and extras done, and as a little afterthought I also painted a small teardrop symbol under left eye of the mask. First I experimented with painting the two "cracks" in the faceplate white, but it did not look right. It was only then that I thought of tears. A little spot of white, little shaping and here you go, a tear. I think it perfectly combines with the entire Eldar style, plus gave me an idea for naming the Banshee. In Eldar, naturally. English meaning will be something like "Tear of wrath".
I ended painting at about 2 AM. My mother was quite p***ed off about that.
On the side, my "Iron Man" attempt at playing Bloodrayne (Normal difficulty but NO SAVES allowed, unless leaving the game that day) is going allright. So far I got to Argentina and the mine there.

Been painting a lot of different stuff lately between commissions. Hopefully I'll get an update done to my website soon - I've certainly got enough new stuff to add! Recently off the workbench: 4 Ultramodern US Delta Force From TAG - couldnt resist picking some up at Warfare a few weeks back & they paint up nice & fast. A test piece for a new style on my Savage Orcs. A lot more work on the skin that previous versions, but I'm only going to collect anarmy like this once so it'll be worth the upgrade in the long run! Slowly working on my first complete stand of Epic space wolves. I've mostly worked onlarger scales in recent weeks in my spare time, but I'm starting a WHFB Brettonnian commission this week so my interest in 6mm should spark once more. Also started work onthe last of the Commissars for my 40K army - He's alimited edition model from Forgeworld which is (was?) only available with their character Baneblade so is suitable unusual to fit into my 14-year-old army
On the Commission front: Finished a Warmaster lizardman army. Finished yet Another E:A IG army. Finished the new Mordheim Angry Mob for the Fanatic Studio Painted a Super Serpant for Fanatic which was sent yesterday on a rushed turnaround - its for the swordwind book! (no pics yet!) Just starting a very large Brettonian commission for a WHFB collector.
So, as I say, I have plenty to be updating if I could just find the time

Hi guys - Medieval Total War is totally cool, though understand the engine and graphics were improved upon greatly for the subsequent Rome Total War. Nevertheless its totally cool, and addictive!
So far (playing as English) I've crushed France, conquered the Holy Roman Empire and am working my way through Italy. And nearly gotten divorced too!

Looks good, Warmaster - but what is it - your project, of course, but I'm curious..
PS Just realised I made Admiral. Good job I'm getting a fleet for the 4-ish gamers business.

It's the sort of presentation material a business usually send out to a potential customer (Well in business to business marketing anyway) with information about themselves. It is supposed to be from an imaginary Graphic design bureau (named after Vito Corleone... Don't ask ) hence the slightly untraditional design and format.
Cheers!

Added some of the new SM C-pack figs to my existing HQs stands/sections. Glad I didn't glue most of them down ! Awaiting my back ordered IG C-pack. When talking to the G/W US Troll, he said E:A Eldar can be preordered for Feb. 05 and of course the Ork C-pack is out in Jan. 05. And they are not sure about The Battle of Five Armies release, maybe Feb-Mar ? I'd like to get a hold of those terrain pieces !
