Haggling is an old, established custom in trade which has its roots in the paradise of Eden. The first person known to use haggling is none other but our forefather Adam. Here's how it all started.
Adam: (sigh, sigh, sigh). God: Adam, what's the matter with you? Adam: there's nobody to talk to. God: I can give you a companion I shall name "Woman". A woman will cook for you and wash your clothes. She will give to you children and will never ask you to rise in the middle of the night to take care of them. A woman will not nag to you and whenever you have a disagreement she'll admit her mistake. She'll never have a headache and will give you all the love and compassion you'll ever need. Adam: Sounds good! How much would this "woman" cost me? God: An arm and a leg. Adam: Phew! That's a bit on the expensive side! What would I get with a rib?
...and we all know the rest.
