Great car, Krooza - red paint job, I'd say? :D
I've been busy painting today, and I've messed about with Epic and BFG stuff:

1. EPIC: Ordinatus X-Piscina - I'm working on my next Ordinatus - another of the closely guarded X-types, the Ordinatus X-Piscina I'd shown assembled but unpainted some months ago. I'd stopped to work on competition stuff; now it's his turn again. This is the one inspired by the open pit mining machine pic we'd had some time ago.

2. EPIC: Ultramarine Tactical Unit - As WMN pointed out (I think) every Epic SM collector has an Ultramarine unit hidden somewhere, so I've decided to make a single Tactical unit with 6 stands including a captain and a standard, and 3 Rhinos as a representative lot. makes a change to paint something blue....

3. BFG: Tyrant Class cruiser Archangel Gavriel - ...although my Tyrant Class cruiser Archangel Gavriel has a blue foreward hull as well. Anyone familiar with the Gothic rulebook Emperor Class Legatus Stygies fluff which says it took a couple of millennia to build could be forgiven for thinking I'd based my new ship on this - it's been built for ages, but I've only now got round to painting it in blue and sand colours.

If you were wondering my hodge-podge Imperial fleet consists of this Tyrant class cruiser, a second cruiser of forgotten type (must dig it out of storage), 3 Falchions, a Ramillies Starfort, and three transports. A deconversion of an old and none too brilliant Chaos conversion would give me another pair of cruisers. I hope they don't meet my Orks.... :(

Ummm, oh dear, I guess a spot of thinking in Italian might add weight to your argument... :{

Just tell me what it's supposed to do, and I'll give you a brand new exotic-latin-sounding name  :)

*grumble grumble grumble...*

I decided to undercoat my latest shipment of BEG this morning. Things went very well untill I ran out of balck spray primer. Went in for a spare can of Non-GW stuff which I thought would work just as well since it was only a minor spot that was missing. As I turned I accidentially knocked over a converted Battleship which fell to the floor breaking apart several small bits including the peg on the flying base. Cursing and swearing I got the can and started spraying the last bits but the ####### spray muzzle clogged up and the can began shooting black splatter all over my models!. Left the minis to dry only to discover that the new paint has "wrinkeled" on some of the models. I suppose it has something to do with the temperature which is close to zero but still....

...Oh, and yesterday I began drybrushing the Tech Guard Tanks and the Krieg Ragnaroks. I'm still a bit indecisive on exactly how I want to do the camo pattern on the Tech Guard stuff...

Cheers! :)

hi Magnus,
it was supposed to be an Ordinatus using an ork weapon captured on the Piscina system, so it's GW-derived actually - all I need is another Ork-attacked planet - Doh! - OK, it's now Ordinatus X-Armageddon.

Ouch- feel for you WMN on both counts. Think I may conecntrate on gluing rather than painting until weather warms up enough to use spray paints. A friend had similar experience to you but with matt varnish. Because of the temparature it came up all glossy.

Been sifting through my unpainted Epic/BFG fgures to plan painting schedule for the new year. Want to get more of my lead panted up. One resolution I intend to keep....
Cheers

James

Heh - you guys need to come and paint over here. It's still quite warm. Nowhere near 0.

More work on a variety of stuff - a fantasy/historical pair of towers from Zvezda; 40K Tyranid warriors; and the newly renamed Ordinatus X-Armageddon. I'm also dusting good old Deffsta, which is a good sign.  :)

That is why I moved to the Dominican Republic! :p
A cold day is the mid 60's.
I painted more than 5 companies of UM's today. They were already blue but I did all of the sholder pads and trim. A record day. companies 3 thru 7 including Rhino transport. I am going blind and my hand hurts. :O ?I have to re do the 7th cos sholder pad trim. I managed to use the 8ths color on them... and they are the best looking ones. To bad they are tacticals or I would just swap them around. Tomorrow I finish the 2nd co.
:( ?I have a delimma) One batch of figs I recieved has one stand of each type in the greatest paint job I have ever seen. (I am a pro painter) I will try to duplicate it but it is not my style at all. (wish it was). I have a feeling the rest of the units will be lacking.
Next... finish my Space Wolf Chapter.

Well as part of the Comp I was working on an Ork Airfield Defence Force for the Battleforrce Category. As I never entered the competition I can now reveal how far I got...

This is my Ork Landa

I am disappointed with the quality of the model as it had large gaps which needed filling.

Also never finished...

Apologies for the poor image quality which was down to poor lighting.
