The nice thing with digital cameras is that it really doesn't cost you anything apart from a little time to learn how to use them. I'd certainly never have gotten into photography if I had to pay the ridiculous prices for having each film exposed in the stores :p

Cheers! :)

This brought back memories.

Before I was anything like into digital cameras, all my miniatures shots were done with 35mm film.

I remember when I got a new 35mm SLR camera, a Canon EOS SLR.

I took two rolls of film, 36 exposures in each.

For each shot I wrote down the apeture and shutter speed, flash, etc...

When the films came back from processing, I remember I had two good shots!!!

However as I had written everything down I knew I could do better.

The next roll, over 30 shots worked...

I then had to scan each one into the computer one by one... no developing onto CD in them days...

Flashback

Yes, the camera has a manual, BUT...

Unfortunately the children in my classroom don't come with manuals. I REALLY wish they did. :(

My time has been limited lately. :(

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

Funny thing is, it was not that long ago.

I remember going to a trade show and seeing one of the first true digital cameras. Was buko bucks. Now you can get a good one for under $200.  :p

Sorry to hear that.  I wish I could promise you something other than blood sweat & tears but unfortunately I am a realist...  :( Even for an expert like you it will take time but you knew that already so why am I on the soapox?  :-:

Checking my own website now as my memory failed me...

http://www.ifelix.co.uk/phomin3.html

The first digicam I got was the original HP PhotoSmart which I got around Christmas...

...well I just went to google to find the date it was released as I couldn't remember which year, either 97 or 98, probably 98, so I did a Google Search and the only image I got of it was the one on my website!!!!

Google keeps doing that to me, I search it for information and all I get is links to me websites.

I did a search the other week on WEP Password to check if something I had written was accurate to find my blog entry on the issue was number 1 (it's now number 2).

I got my HP PhotoSmart camera in , it cost ?250 and came with a 2Mb card and a "free" 4Mb card! it was a 0.3MP camera.

To think at GamesDay I was using a 6MP camera with a 1GB Microdrive CF card.

It was HP's first digital camera.

I can't find the date of release, but I think it must have been 1997. I bought it for a wedding I was going to.

The first one I saw was in the early 80s. The first one that took print quality photos was at a trade show in 1986.

Oh and I use Yahoo, not sure why I never made the jump to Google when a lot of my friends did. ???
