More information, and a couple of great Gothic pictures, are availalble on Dysartes.com.

So if they are doing one of these supplimental books every year, that means I am buying a new sub-army every year?  :oo

I better get working on another promotion and raise.

What I only just realised is that istor Hardy's entry (US multi slayer sword winner who made the trio just for the competition) didnt even get a Demon! It was simply the finest piece of artwork I have ever seen on a miniature, I will try and find some pics online to show you guys - it was outstanding!

Tuff,

Victor Hardy DNQ due to excessive use of religious iconography on his bloodthirster model.

Apparently they even had complaints on the day..

Wooo! If you look at the Epic Armageddon Questions the one about Squats was asked by me! It was met with laughter and a round of applause as well!

Squats = The Future  :p  :p  :p

Good work, soldier!  :)

Maybe that is the "religious iconography" which caused all the fuss?

What the hell is that all about?  Where is it laid out how much is too much?

Those are some huge dusters though- surely a drawback in close combat?

But where does a Bloodthirster NEED, um, thingies like that? Unless he's into a different kind of close combat.

Gives a whole new meaning to the "Blood for the Blood God!"... :p  }:)

The bloodthirster in question can be seen at the link posted by Freshmetal I think. ?The banner has mother and child (with horns), and a guy wearing crown of thorns on the reverse. Unmistakable similarities to classical Christian depictions but so what? ?It's the 21st century and time to get over such censorship nonsense. It should be consigned to history with the medieval Christian Inquisitors who made it their business to burn books and people they didn't approve of.

In short I find the censorship of some guys artistic expression highly offensive, if it is indeed the case. As Paul says the painting on this model is absolutely outstanding.

Hi,

Please stop all these Khorney jokes.  ???

With all the political correctness rubbish around nowadays, you can't really blame GW for being cautious around the religious stuff, but we can clearly see the painting is fantastic and I'm sure the guy who made it knows that.

Cheers,
Freshmetal
