Hi,
Returned to my Crimson Fists today, starting on all the detailing for the vehicles, and based up the remaining infantry and dreads. Also ordered the final batch of minis for my Speed Freeks, so shall return to them when that lot arrives.
Cheers, Freshmetal

Hi Jimbo,
The first batch are mostly older photos and are very small (Under 200 and many much less).
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.
Dark Eldar army (pink!!);
PINK Dark Eldar? What the...
After a little cleaning, my room is in about normal state now. Must kill the person who reassembled the drawers - he made so much mistakes and caused so much damage that it defies logic.
The ruin is going on allright, but I've just ran out of glue.
Boss in the bureau said that if my monitor is broken, I can borrow one from the storage - it aint going to be used in any way, as it seems there is not even one good motherboard - only one of the newer type is functional, and it has scrambled keyboard socket as well as something wrong with CMOS and CMOS battery.
I have still to check out the two EISA boards, they MIGHT actually happen to work.

"PINK Dark Eldar? What the..."
Yep - pink with blue details - very heavily drybrushed with a sand colour. Ok, it's an experimental scheme, along with the brown Necrons.... and I think i finally had a good idea for my BFG Imperial ships. OK, tomorrow I might finally but the digital camera i've been threatening and eventually send pics - pink DE included!

Thanks Jimbo but I'm currently working on a gallery. Still in it's infancy with lots of bugs to work out though BTW I've tried to add it to Google and other search engines but nothing seems to happen. Exactly how does these things work?
Cheers!

Quote (Warmaster Nice @ 05 2004 Oct.,09:06) | BTW I've tried to add it to Google and other search engines but nothing seems to happen. Exactly how does these things work? | Google is an interesting place in many respects.
Google ranks its pages by using a variety of methods, including but not limited to
links (both in and out) keywords in the page title, page file name and in the page itself visits to that page as a result of a search on Google how often the page is updated (older pages drop down)
things that seem to not work include
metadata (which is strange really)
We did an experiment sometime back, I did not mention netepic on my website at all, I then added a netepic page and within a week it was the number two site on Google when searching for "netepic".
I have just checked and it has dropped to number 5...
I will update that page and see how it goes.
I am quite pleased with my Google rankings
For example
news.bbc.co.uk = 9/10 www.apple.com = 10/10 www.games-workshop.com = 5/10 www.specialist-games.com = 5/10
whereas
www.ifelix.co.uk = 5/10
Another thing to check on Google in terms of my website is when you put key GW terms into it
Google Epic Armageddon
Google Squiggoth

After an 8 month silence that can only come from neglect and abandonment, Tas's SydneyHive forge began production again today.
Initial hickups occured with several paintpots and glue sources found to have dried up and the inevitable casualties with brushes over time, but some work was achieved.
There was lots of box opening and mutterings of "Wow! I forgot I had that!!". ?Can I also commend Simple Green as a stripping method - especially if you forget about it and soak minis in it for almost a year ?
I mostly did some old WIPs in that I: finished off a trio of Stormhammer Superheavies Undercoated a Artillery Company I found kicking aorund Based some RRiders whipped up 2 old style Furio Dreadies for my Flesh Tearers
Hopefully, full forge production will be restored shortly, including a full inventory check!

My site is around 125th when "Epic Armageddon" is used for keywords.
BTW I've tried to add it to Google and other search engines but nothing seems to happen. Exactly how does these things work?
| You have to wait a week of more, depending on the classification method - some search engines add sites via bot means, others depend on human factor, eg each site is manually checked by people paid for this.

Hmmm... I picked up an old project this evening. The Warp Palace of Tzeeentch and Silver Towers were attempted resurrected. I tried to add some more detail to the Palace by adding some glyphs and picking out a few other details better. I'm still not completely happy with it but I simply can't figure out what to do about it. I was thinking of maybe adding a Chaos sorceror to the "front" (the part with the doorway looking thingy...) What do you guys think?
The Silver towers are even worse. I haven't painted on any runes yet but the basic design of the towers is simply awfull. I'm completely lost of ideas on how to salvage this disaster. Maybe some BFG bits? Perhaps some sort of stabilizing antennae? Mount it on a piece of rock like a flying citadel? I don't know... Prehaps I should just break them apart and begin from scratch but if anyone has any ideas I'm all ears.
Cheers!

Hi WMN - I wouldn't touch the palace, except for the sorcerer idea. One way to add easy detail of the weirdest sort is to apply very fine flock in selected locations - the dreaded Tzeentchian grass! But try to picture it first, can't be removed easily. As for the towers, one way (which requires a bit of work) is to make the central tower higher. You could also eliminate the top of one of the towers, and give it a ruined look - which brings us to another suggestion - try fitting clipped bits of ruins from the long troop base frames onto the base or even under the disc, hanging downwards. Should work. An idea for a totally different look (and new building) would be to use cruiser prows for towers, with launch bay components all round the bays. A bit expensive, though! Good luck!

The ruins spure is a great idea Vanvlak. I think it might be a good idea to part with the idea that the Silver Towers should bear any resemblance to the SM2 era ones. I quite like the idea of the towers being normal buildings twisted by Warp energy and torn from the ground and flying arround in the air. Perhaps add just a bit of debris to the underside of the palace but make the resemblance to known structures more pronounced in the Silvertowers. After all they are less powerfull and less corrupted by the Warp... Just a moment I'll do a quick concept sketch.

Here's a quick sketch. I apologize for my horrible hand writing! Anyway: base the entire model on a central tower made from plastic tube and attatched to the current Slottabase. Add some stuff to the sides and the bottom. Maybe some aerials for stabilizors or something.
I think it would look really cool to add some roots and perhaps pieces of pipe to the underside so you really get the feeling that the structure has been torn from the ground.
What about the top of the tower? Make some sort of Warp fire instead of a roof? Or a different style -sort of a russian dome- or someting entirely differnt? Or perhaps abandon the idea of a tower entirely but make it a flying ruined building with a Chaos altar and a sorceror at the centre? (Does make it harder to tie in with the Warp Palace though it would look pretty coool!)
Cheers!
