Hi Guys,

*** How do you fill in the gaps on your mini stands and terrain bases? ***

I use a couple methods to fill in stands:

- Greenstuff - A little bit expensive, but you can sculpt cool shell holes and other stuff if you want...

- Vallejo's Piedra Pomez - A very cool putty / sand filly which looks awesome.

- Elmer's White PVA Glue - This is by far the cheapes and easiest way. Apply the glue, spread it a little with a toothpick (disposable after use) and then sprinkle some small rocks or sand over the top for texture. It works incredibly well and so cheap and easy to apply. I used to use Greenstuff and Vallejo Piedra Pomez mostly, but the PVA glue is easier to do and form fits after it dries. The downside is that it takes longer to dry. And sometimes, it takes an extra application or two if the glue fills in a gap too well.

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

Hi Maksim,
I usually go for the PVA glue business. Fast enough for me, easy, and effective if applied with a spot of care.

Hi,

I have a friend who once suggested to me that you should take a hole-puncher and punch some round holes in card, taking the bits that you punch out and glue them into the holes. I've never tried it, but he claims it works fine.

Cheers,
Freshmetal

I use Blu-tac which is cheap as cheap can be to fill in slot ends and holes, then the whole base is covered with PVA and dipped in sand and gravel for texture....
