You've not thought about using the Foundry Gladiator range or are they too 25mm to go with the rest of your miniatures?

Oh no Jimbo, They're gorgeous models & I've certainly considered them (especially the big cats!) but unfortunately they're also twice the price of some of the competitors.

At this stage I'm just looking for some miniatures which I'll be happy doing quick paint jobs on like those already seen above. If I move on to do Display pieces, I'll almost certainly use some of the Foundry range, but the price demands more time than I'm looking to invest in painting them at the moment.

CoR?  ???  What's that?

Your marine force seems to be really well supported by Thunderhawks.  :O  Good looking force, remember to post pics of the rest when you're finished!

Hi,
CoR stands for Centurions of Ravenna my DIY chapter. I envision my marines to be a more infantry heavy force with ?little armor support thus I need plenty of T-hawks. I "plan" on having 3 for every company.

Only 3? In background most chapters already have 3 per company. Make it 5 TH per company and then we are atalking about TK heavy :D

Just picked up an auction that had a broken Imperiator Titan. It is missing one of the main weapons, broken off leg, some other minor damage.

So I was thinking about taking it and making a "Command" Titan. I was going to replace some of it along with a "landing pad" in place of the arm. Repaint it and see how the whole thing come out.  ???

I re-made a broken imperator into a scratch built Warmonger. It was missing most of the legs + the main weapons when I got it but a well stuffed bits box can work wonders!:D

Cheers!:)

Warmaster Nice strikes again...  :O  Although I must say that the big gun does look somewhat Orky. Is that the personal titan of the Grand Master of Legio Destructor by a coincidence?  :p

Is that the personal titan of the Grand Master of Legio Destructor by a coincidence?

LOL:D  Yeah, well, I never really thought about that. I just wanted the gun to look really big'n'monstorous -Must be some hidden Ork gene. I think the Laser on the original Warmonger look a bit flimsy and underscaled compared to the rest of the titan.

The legs are based on an 1:48 scale F16 jet engine muzzle which just happened to fit the feet in size. I then added some detail using bits of GS, Plasticard and wire.
The Gothic windows on the side are made by "stamping" a GS negative made from the e40k ruins into soft GS. I highly recomend using this technique if you are scratch building larger structures and want uniform looking detail. For later projects I've made my own negatives carved from plastic spure which is a bit more durable.

Forgot to add before that I'm really looking forward to seeing what you come up with Dafrca. I've only got a single unassembled Imperator left and I'm a bit afraid to go overboard with wild conversions on that... Imperators are getting a bit rare.
BTW: Who was working on a Tzeentch Imperator at some point?

Cheers! :)

-Another quick idea I got: How about replacing the weapon arms with scratch built "Super-Corvus-Assault-pods" making the Imperator the ultimate Siege tower.
Something like giving it the transport capability equivalent to a Cappitol Imperialis (though Infantry only!).
One really only need to  have a look at the variant weapoins for the Warlord and upscale it to get lots of inspiration for weird comversions.

Cheers!:)
