Sounds very cool Maksim. Please post pics ASAP!:)

I had a few ideas for that BFG Dreadnought during the night. It is going to be massive! Anyway: the idea is for an Imperial counterpart to the Chaos Planet Killer. Where the Planet Killer is centered arround a huge long range weapon the Dreadnought will be armed exclusively with close to medium range weapon batteries and lances. It will also carry a considerable ammount of Turrets and perhaps fighteres to protect it from enemy ordinance and Bombers.

Basically it is the dreadnought's purpose to deny the enemy ?access to a certain sector of the battlefield as it ?would be suicide to get too close. Much in the same way a space station works really.
Fluff-wise the idea is that the 3 Dreadnought class vessels constructed was intended as mobile command centres during the Great Crusade. Back then the sheer pace of the Imperial expantion meant that slow and cumbersome Space station were impractical for this purpose as they simply could not keep up with the main fleet.

Plan for today: Get those Epic Tech Guard Robots painted. -How hard can it be dammit!:p :)

Cheers!:)

 Those Tech Guard are hexed. I just cannot get too work on them.
Instead I've done some work on the BFG Dreadnought Grand Battleship. Still need to do the "belly of the beast", Engines and final touches to the prow but it is shaping up to be quite a monster.
Since it is supposed to be an ancient and unique design I am trying to incorporate elements of both Imperial and Chaos ship design into it. The Venegance  and Repulsive class grand cruisers are a great source of inspiration there (along with Chubbybob's designs of course).  BTW can anybody spot which Airfix model is hiding underneath all the BFG bitz?

Once completed it should be about the size of the Planet Killer (which I also plan to convert once I get one -Krooza's work is a great inspiration there!) and a nice centrepiece for the fleet. :)

Cheers! :)

That thing is fantastic! Excellent work. Hurry up and get it painted, so that I can use a picture for the cover of Warp Rift!  :)

WMN,

That?s an incredible model.  It is absolutely awesome!
Along with painting skills I know it will be a piece worthy of display.

I simply love how the bow expands out near the rear of the ship but the weapons batteries follow the contour of the ship.  It's great.

After I completed my chores around the house, I was going to work on those E40K Flakwagons I have base coated.  But my mind was preoccupied and the History Channel was doing ACW all day ! Oh well I'm off Weds, they can wait until then ! :)

3) Contriving to convince GW Aus to import EA -I STILL havent seen a single EA mini or even the rulebook!!!!!

GW Oz is clearing out its epic:40k catalogue. Not too much available, but most blisters are going for 16 bucks (13 bucks for the 5 sentinel packs).

I'm working on 5 epic terrain pieces: 4 ruined buildings and 1 Imperial Monument (scratch-built, but looking a lot like the forgeworld one)

Played MechCommander a bit more.

Got two cute lil kittens.

And stripped paint off my old "Madcat" made out of pieces from BT 3rd edition plastic mechs from the starter kit. Man, it was ugly. Now, though, I'm hell-bent on redoing it, with 100% more greenstuff and sculpting.

so what colour are you going to paint them, or are you going to use the fur on some other model?

Hi!

I'm working on starting the ardous task of updating my inventory data. I shudder to do it since last time it took 5 days dedicating 5-6 hours each day. Now it will be longer as the acquisitions of three years must be added.

Of course, I'll shre the pictures with you guys.... :;):
