Nice ideas WMN... I can't wait to see what you come up with for the SH mini....
Regarding the thread length.. yep, a new one is in order I reckon... perhaps when this one gets to 70 pages for a nice round number, or maybe sooner?

Cleaned up and based some Epic Chaos Infantry. Also did some painting on some bits for the Painting competition. I also did a quick paint job on this little objective I did a while back (I'll paint up the other ones -A Radar station and Defence Laser installation- very soon.). It's really simple: Just a warhammer slottabase on a piece of cardboard with a Chimera turret and some sand. Voila: One missile silo.
Cheers!

Painted up a bit of Chaos stuff. More specifically minions of Nurgle. I did some Death guard Rhinos, Chaos Space Marines and a detatchment of Plaguebearers. Not very original I'm afraid but they get the job done.
Cheers!

Nice stuff WMN- good little details like the red symbols make them stand out nicely... Did you drill holes in the Rhino on the front left?- cool idea if you did, it makes it look really old and in poor repair.
[EDIT] ...oh, and I just spent an hour adding sand and gravel to the base of the bit of scenery- when it is completely dry tommorow morning, I'll spray it, and paint it in the evening... ?

Well yes and no. The model was miscast or something with bubbles in the plastic. I did cut a few extra holes and scratches which looked OK. I can't remember who said that if you don't know how to paint or convert you can allways collect a Death Guard Army. Well it's more or less true since all the errors and mistakes seems to work in your favour.
The Nurgle faction of my Chaos army has got to be one of the easiest I've ever done paintings wise. Just basecoat black, heavy drybrush catachan, then camo green and finally highlight with rotting flesh. Paint metal bits and wash with nice rusty patches of Chaos black/Snakebite Leather mix. Final touch of scab red for contrast.
Cheers!

Spraying is complete.. slight melting, but it all adds to the decayed feel I'm trying to achieve! Also played a couple of games of Necro today- at the end, my leader invented a meltagun (95 creds worth so I was pleased) and I bought a missile launcher for my second heavy... a little conversion time needed on these two now! Right.. I'm off to get the brushes out!

Custodian titan is complete. I tried to take some pics but for some reason the #XX&!!! camera seems nowadays to focus on the things _behind_ my actual target. Apparently I'm too dumb to take a pic with a digital camera on "full auto".

Perhaps a bit obvious but did you remember to swith on the macro function? All too many times I've been really annoyed because the pics didn't come out right only to discover that I'd forgotten that.
Alternatively you could try to focus on a larger object (like an upright book), remove the book and then place the miniature on the same spot before you snap the pic. This should get the focus range about right.
Cheers!
