Funky little Snot buggy Kr00za!

The terrain piece is almost ready for spraying- I just sealed the polystyrene with some white undercoat, after adding some flagstones and plasticine, oh, and a little control box on the walkway...

Unbelievably fine piece of work stormseer. I can't wait to see how you are going to paint the sludge. Any tips appreciated <\hint>  :;):

And Krooza is there a renegade Grot armylist somewhere? I am actually thinking it would be a fun thing to collect as a counterbalance for my space marine force.

I think there is an amry list for Rebel Grots somewhere. Not read it myself yet. If you check out the Waaaagh Forum someone can direct u from there :;):
With my Rebel Snots Im usign rulez from other models to make things real simple. ie . my tiny Snot Tanks work simular to Ork Nobs n Mega Armour and my Snot BattleWagon uses the same rules as an Ork Warbuggy.
Oviously there wil be some tweeking to do once Ive play tested them for a while.
I put a post in the Waaaghs trade forum for more bike n wartrak trakks and guy from the Waagh is actualy sending my a load for nothing! Which is mad, but cool, so Im gona send him something in return anyway :;):

You can always follow what Stefan Hess did and use the Codex Armageddon Kult of Speed

His version is here.

The idea was to have an army-list that consists of Gretchins only.
The only list that was able to be converted to an all Gretchin list was the Speed Freaks list, because most of the stats are more dependent on the vehicle than on the crew. For this reason there is no ordinary infantry but only bikes, buggies and other vehicles. But there was no way that the stats of the Warboss could be used for an Gretchin, so the Warboss stayed and is the only Orc model in the army, but than he is only the mount of the head Gretchin.

Thanks, Jimbo!   I have toyed with the idea of expanding the Snotling Horde "Armylist" in the Orcs & Goblins book.  :o  }:)

Back to topic, I started to paint the second flag of my custodian titan. I have decided not to enter it to the competition as it is not good enough to merit taking part. Instead, if I have the time, I'll paint a small battleforce of my new Death Knights chapter of marines.

Spent last few days relaxing. Played Chaos Gate a lot, red Pratchett's "Feet of Clay", and entire Battle Angel Alita series in digitalised format.

Hmmm... It's no big deal but i was just thinking.
The old "What are you working on"-thread was closed after some 73 pages. This thread is quickly approaching that number. There's no need to kill a nice conversation but perhaps we should soon start a new thread to make it easier for newcomers to work through the material?

...Like I said, it's no big deal but just a random thought. :)

Anyway: I orderd a bunch of BFG stuff the other night. Enough to get me started. ...In fact I've allready got a few plans for some projects. Looking through Chubbybob's amazing site I was really inspired by his massive Imperial Dreadnought class battleship. I've been toying arround with a few concept sketches for a massive battleship conversion to counter the Chaos Planet Killler.
The following is a bit of background for the Dreadnought and also a setup for a scenario invoolving Chaos and Imperial forces.

The basic Idea is that 3 Dreadnought vessels were created during the Great Crusade. One served as the Emperor's flagship, the other was assigned to Horus' fleet and the third was assigned to Batlefleet Solar. The Emperor returned to Terra just prior to the Heresy leaving his flagship behind. A few months later the ship was mysteriously lost in the Warp.
Horus' ship was destroyed by Battlefleet Solar during the initial attack on Segmentum Solar. Horus then took a Battlebarge as his flagship. The remaining Dreadnought was destroyed during the siege of Terra.

9000 years passed until one day a strange signal turned up on Imperial scanners. A recent Warp storm had been raging in the Segmentum Obscurus, near the Eye of terror. Imperial inspection ships were sent to investigate. Their report told of an enormous Space Hulk appearing near a Warp rift. 50% larger than an Emperor class Battleship the small inspection craft had kept their distance from the Behemoth for safety reasons. The Hulk appeard human in origin with no visible signs of Warp corruption. One thing was certain though: the design revealed that the ship was old. Very old. Scans could however not determine werther there was any siggns of life onboard the ship.

At that time Fleet high commmand recieved disturbing news. News of unusual activity within the Eye of Terror. The Imperial Navy decideed to dispatch a task force. It's primary objective to neutralize any Chaos vessels attempting to escape the Eye. Secondary to investigate the mysterious giant Space Hulk.
A month passed without succesfull contact with the enemy fleet. The Fleet Admiral decided to investigate the secondary objective.
When the imperial ships droopped out of the Warp a nasty surprise was in stall for them. The exit point was just in thhe middle of the Chaos fleet which was regrouping and apparently also on their wasy to investigate the Space Hulk.

In the scenaroi both players start at the same end of thhe tablee. The space Hulk is at the opposite end. Both players has wtwo options. They may attempt to capture the Dreadnought using Assault boats OR they can attempt to destroy it. All at the same time that the have to fight off each other. The winner is the player who has either succesfully reactiivatged the Dreadnought and escaped into the Warp with it OR destroyed it Or destroyed the opposing fleet.

Should make a very interesting (if bloody) game.

Cheers! :)

I admit that the size of this thread is rather intimidating.  I've dipped my toe in an read a few posts now and then, but it's just scary!
Now I will contribute to this madness.  My current project is a 40K dreadnought, the metal one that came out toward the end of 2nd edition, armed with an assault cannon and, um, one of those rather ineffective-looking pincer things.  My motivation is that we need a mini to represent the Ulti-Max (sounds like a feminine hygene product) in the Rifts game I'm running.  I'm painting it up in Ultramarine colors, as I have Lord Macragge sitting around on his throne, waiting to be painted, and he'll need a retinue, neh?
Painting a dreadnought really isn't much different from painting a titan, I'm finding.    :)
