May you thoroughly kick the rear end of the enemies of the Emperor. |
Thanks for support, I'll try to manage.
Finished one Tactical Marine and my awesome Sergeant-Sniper Lucius (kneeling pose, Bolter with a targetter hardwired into the armor, plus a nice "visor" over left eye).
Vindicator has got a quick hatch job from some leftover of a tank model cannibalised for Battletech models some years ago, and is currently halfway through the painting. Should be done around the evening. Model itself looks as unique as scary, and it was somewhat annoying to hand-paint all over it (the can of Chaos Black spray gave its life halfway through undercoating, ouch, but painting a heavily thinned normal paint gives good effect nonethless).
Paintjob on Hero model is progressing. Looks stunning. Standard Bearer is another story, though, and I'll have to pull hard to get him done on time for tournament.
It looks like my army will have to use aid of an Ordo Hereticus Inquisitor to be full 1K. Ah, well, this Seraphim Superior is almost crying to join in a game of 40k...
I have to skip painting names on shoulderpads and the lines on Purity Seals, because as far as it gives awesome miniatures, it takes a lot of time and I'm shot on it.
Till Monday, then!

That Snot Tank is cool! Is the chassis handbuilt or did you cannibalize something?

Finally got myself into gear after a spot of laziness! Made a start on some more Necromunda terrain- styrene packaging forms the main body of it... Pics tommorow maybe.

Forgeworld Squiggoth - 40K scale
Though I have had the model for some time, I wanted to surprise my opponent so I have not put any details out about it.
Today I had a chance to use it in a game and yes my opponent was surprised.

It is a superb casting and well sculptured and in my opinion a much nicer model than the bigger version (can't spell Gargantuan).
You can find out how I painted it here:
Painting my Squiggoth page
Here is a picture of work in progress.
There is still some work to do on it, but it is virtually finished.

*Enter Steve Irwin mode* "Cranky he's a big fella!" *Exit Steve Irwin mode"
Excellent work Jimbo. I like the detailing arround the teeth and the howdah in particular. The metal has a really nice "texture" to it. The really scary bit about the FW squiggoths is that the Epic version is equally detailed. Gotta hand it to those guys at FW:cool:
Cheers!
