Once again, my job pays off in ways I never could have imagined. I just picked up a copy of Rogue Trader for US$4.48.

Sold mine off when I dumped all my 40k stuff. Figured I did not want to keep anything for or related to 40k. Funny, kept the Epic though.

Good work Pariah Press - er - what job? Sounds good!
Incidentally, and striking away from Rogue Trader to its descendent, WH40K, the latest reincarnation is (in White Dwarf UK 296) claimed to be 'clip-together'. Ummm - kiddy appeal? Still, the Lt. Varras and terrain models (including Nid bits) look good, and the Battle of Macragge theme sounds interesting too. aS I said - hummm.

I work at Powell's City of Books in Portland, Oregon. I get a 50% discount off used books, and I can get first crack at books priced by foolish know-nothings before the customers even SEE them. Usually I take advantage of this opportunity to correct such price, but sometimes I just plain take advantage. Not to make money, just to collect books.
"Clip together?" Are the new plastics to be included with WH40K 4ed to be assembled without glue, like the old Titans? (Like THAT ever really worked!)

Congratulations! Now you'll only have to find Battle Manual and Vehicle Manual to complete the 1st edition set.
Seriously, you don't need those unless you're as insane as I am.

Doh! That one I forgot, and it would actually be worth hunting for. It has a great campaign for SM & Orks as well as loads of good fluff.

Don't forget the Realm of Chaos books! And the various Ork books (weren't there three of them?). My collection is far from complete, but I have a good selection of the Imperial stuff, which is mostly what I'm interested in.

...and all the WDs from #1 onwards
.... I've managed to hunt down many really old ones over the years- still a long way to go before my collection is completely up to date though..

Hi!
The realms of chaos books are the only old books that I really like and would buy. Unfortunately their e-bay prices are sometimes excessive.

I got an old White Dwarf with a failrly sizable excerpt from one of the Realm of Chaos books. The excerpt was all about the magic of Tzeentch (my favorite Chaos power). There may be similar excerpts about other things around that time (Issue #122). It could be a cheap way to get at least some of the info in those rare books.
