Quote (dafrca @ 16 2004 June,18:02) | Wow, I did not know about the second band. Was D-Rok the same kind of "Death metal" type music? | Not quite. D-Rok was watered down Metal, that was trying hard to be Gothic and never quite managed it. They kept too much to the 40K mythos for my taste, which constrained the subject and mood of the music way too much. I prefer the Bolt Thrower album (I have the CD in my office desk as it is great for keeping students away!).

I have the old D-Rok poster which is the SM1 box cover. It's on the wall in my War Room ! Fortunately, the D-Rok logo is small and in the corner and does not ruin the poster !

Back to business... I've done a fair bit of modelling over the last couple of days... first up on the chopping board/desk were several member of my Necromunda gang- had a great few games on Tuesday, after which I was left with several things to do- two gangers lost an eye in the battles- both are now at BS 2 unfortunatly- one a Juve who had just joined the gang... poor bloke.. ? -Those were relativly simple to convert, as were the 'horrible scars' a couple of members got..
The most major conversion I finished last night- I bought a Grav chute for a bargain price fro the trading post, and set to building it when I got home... I used part of the heavy flamer from the old 40k imperial vehicle accesory sprue, a vent from it, some grenades from the new Cadians, and a fuel flask from the 40k landspeeder. A little greenstuff for a harness and to fill in the gap between his lower back, and it was complete. He also got a club, so I modelled this from a bit of plastic rod from the Bently model I've been cannibalising, and used some greenstuff to make straps to clip it onto the back of his grav chute pack....

Nice stuff, Stormseer! I must confess, we never bothered to model the various pieces of equipment on our Necro gangers. Of course, that would probably be because we either got em killed off, or they grew too powerfull, and we started new gangs often!

Great minis T5H- The seraphim with hand flamers is lovely- ?nice flames.. and the EC conversion is very cool too...
Cheers for the comments guys- I'm really gettting into modelling for Necromunda at the moment, so expect to see lots more... as for storage.... it gets worse as I build more and more- all my Epic/old 40k terrain is up on shelves, and my Necro ruins and other little terrain pieces are in a cabinet... dunno where these two big new bits are going to go tho...
