In gameplay terms I agree, but the largest model in the army is based on a Rhino hull so there is not a great range of size across the list.

From a take up point of view we shouldn't underestimate the visual appeal of tiny infantry parading alongside larger tanks, sat next to small WE, dwarfed by the big stuff like titans and support craft. And then there's the monotony of painting and basing infantry to consider, however you play this list it's going to be a high model count army!*

*Except a SoB tank army which is doable I suppose!

I'm another that's eyerolled and discarded the idea of a Sisters army in a playable format because of no decent (well, no not-decent either) war engines. Couldn't care about them being good or bad, but they were fundamental in making the list interesting and the army feel like it had something about them beyond game pieces. Plus, the Cathedrals were the models I was already converting, doubly sad. Also, quite bluntly, reading:

...kinda pisses me off. They are the very definition of iconic to me. It's what sells the Ecclesiarchy, the story, the fluff, the whole feel of the army. That FEEL of those cathedral war engines and the horror march of gothic religion is in every picture of the Imperium, that tone, that setting of story is what Sisters are about. Those units are the epitome of Blanche-ness, holding everything about the setting that made the Sisters an iconic force. It's not just about tits and power armour. Give them something to make the army feel more than just a crappy copypaste of a crappy WD-codex.

(Aside: Though as I'm not a tournament player, I know my opinions go into the shredder. Still, that's how I feel.)

If not playing in E-UK tournaments mind you i'm sure people won't mind you using the Net-EA list instead with them still in at least :)

In terms of modelling and painting churches and other religious symbols can be used as objectives.

What if a player has taken the time to model 3 specific SoB themed objectives for his army AND has a number of WE cathedrals though?

Titans could just as well have been left out of the Skitarii list when Epic-UK made their version and players suggested to use them as army objectives, but players might have felt short changed by this…

Visually from a distance a giant cathedral on tracks gets across the theme of the army much more than obviously than just SoB infantry and their Rhino variants (which as a whole from a more casual look could be more easily mistaken for a SM army).

I’d suggest SoB WE are also iconic and expected because they’ve been in the existing Net-EA SoB lists for many years plus lots of people have converted SoB WE for both Epic and 40k. Elsmore’s one below is a good example but I did a quick google and found a dozen examples of SoB WE (so clearly others think they should have them too):
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12.

There’s precedent too as the Epic-UK DE and Necron lists include the Executioner and the Necron Abbatoir and Aeonic Orb, despite these just being purely inventions of the Net-EA list that’ve never been depicted in any official 40k art or suggested in the fiction. At least giant WE on tracks are something we know from GW SoB are in to.

what about using them in a 'Squatsters of battle' list?

use the squat list, you've got rhino based troops, use valks to proxy as gyrocopters, then you have multiple flavours of heavy crawler to fit your ecclesiastical requirements

or you could use the 'Skitarii of battle' list with much the same fiddling around

Or use the NetEA version, which is full to the brim with tracked-church based nonsense

Nothing to do with me! I'm focussing on AM conversions at the moment.

It's one of Elsmore's models and I agree it's a lovely scratchbuild. Bit OT but more of his army can be seen here.
