Hi Guys,

Just wondering if anyone on here has tried out the pit fighter rules from Fanatic Mag 1?

The concept hit the nail right on the head for me in terms of where I want to go with my collecting / gaming. It a decision driven mainly through my now painting 3-5 days a week on commission & getting tired of brush work unless I can be really into what I'm working on (Like my BB team - an opertunity to slowly build up some really individual characters).

I'm staying with epic (& will still work on my existing armies for other games if/when I feel inclined), but besides that I've decided I want to get into more skirmish orientated games where I can work on a few characterful miniatures rather than trying to do hordes.

Amongst other "characters" I've been looking at to paint just for fun (a way of working on new skills outside of working hours without it being a chore), I was already looking at various manufacturers gladiators to do up just for fun.

Then Fanatic Mag Arrived with pitfighter in it.
The rules look cool & I figure I'm interested.
Then My weekend plans got cancelled.
2 days later, I now have a 1/2 built pit fighter dungeon / stadium and a full range of mordheim pit fighters in the post.

Only thing is, I havent played the game yet! Either way I've had some fun, so I'm not too worried that I've wasted my time, but I am very interested in any opinions if anyone has tried it out!

Necromunda is on the list, if only to paint a gang or two  :D

Got to add the final touches to my BB team, the pit fighters should arrive on Tuesday & will be my projects for the next few weeks.

Then I have some "Dwarf Wars:Nordic Villagers" on order that should be cool models to paint & come to think of it will be good additions to the spectators in my pit  :D

After that I fancy some of Kev White's (Hassle Free Miniature) new Ninjas for something different.

Then it'll be 2010 & I may get to Necromunda.......  :l
