Which of those factions uses actual assembly lines and which basically build stuff from whatever weapons they dream up at that moment/happen to have at hand? In this case the abstraction IS the mechanism of the theme for the orks.

There's a whole bunch of other as well

Imperial bike mounted gaurdsmen - now make great rough rider proxies
Imperial jump pack gaurdsmen - now make great elisian proxies..... if the list of ANY of the air cav lists were decent :P

Eldar Knights - Though i think a list is in experimental somewhere in the depths?

Chaos have a heap of the old constructs that are sort of just proxies now for various lists? : Tower of Skulls, Cauldron of blood, Death Dealer, Blood Reaper, Doom Blaster, Cannon of Khorne, Contagion (Though i believe some of these are in the WE list and LATD Redux)

These would all be excellent faction-style Black Legion Defilers, though yes proxies - but as no SM Defilers existed, it works.

Stigmatus Covenant has a lot of these also, if you want 'em, and just like the Emperor's Children have the Knights, I think the chapter/god-specific Chaos lists have included the various older Chaos models.

I definitely do, however, miss some of the lunacy of the RT/SM Orks. Hmm... Maybe someone should think of starting a Mad Mek list...

Cannons of Khorne are now Hellfire Cannons in the Lost and the Damned lists.
All the other Khorne Daemon Engines are Daemon Assault Engines in the same lists And the Worldeaters list, although I think there is also a specific Daemon Engine list somewhere.
Contagions are Contagion Engines/Contagion Towers in LatD and Death Guard.

The Eldar tank lineup was radically redesigned for 3rd ed, so only a couple of models made it through with the same names (and only in function, not in form). In 4th ed they carried on from 3rd.

Old imperial units did have stats in the "collector's models" section of the 4th ed rulebook. This section isn't included in the 2008 update PDFs though IIRC (it is in the 2004 PDFs). However the capitol imperialis is one exception, it did not have stats, only an entry saying GW planned to release a new model soon after. Guess what? Didn't happen.

For what it's worth there's a Capitol Imperialis unit in the Deathwatch army list here: viewtopic.php?f=130&t=30497&hilit=capitol+imperialis

Thank you everyone.

One more question then...are the Lord of Battles miniatures now considered a Ravager Titan in the 13th Black Crusade Black Legion list?

It is still a Lord of Battles in the lost and damned list and Epic-uk world eaters list.

To supplement that, yes they are in LatD and the world eaters lists, but i've used them as proxy warhounds and they'd be fine as a reaver.

Ok, thank you for telling me that.

I'm not a big fan of using proxies though. I prefer to use the real model for something in my Epic armies if one was made. So does anyone know the answer to my last question?

They did - as an actual LoB it only exists in the Lost and the Damned or World Eaters lists. If you want to use it in Black Legion you're going to have to proxy anyway as there was never an official Ravager Titan model.

Alternatively, if you're not playing in a tournament, you could talk to your opponent about using the LoB unit in a Black Legion list b

Thank you. I guess I must have misunderstood what they were saying.

To me it seemed as if they were saying "well, it is in these lists over here", without actually just saying yes or no about the 13th black crusade list.

Sometimes I can be pretty thick. My apologies.

Cheers.

Back in the time i liked the diversity of the orks. But i can see how making the orks more generic works, do miss my bowel burnas though. Maybe, if somebody wants to someday, could make a mechboy list with all the old weird, cartoony and specialist orks.

Scorchas are a very good fit for Bowelburnas.
