Alan and I broke our trend of playing the most bloodthirsty games imaginable to go for a super tactical nid vs Squat match which ended in a straight draw. Neither of us could quite finish off the others BTS or dislodge the hordes sitting on respective blitzes. Really fun game though!

R and I played yesterday at his place. Marines v marines. My dice were amazing and his were awful so it ended up 3-0 to me on turn 3.

Alan and I played our final game of the league last night. It was going pretty well for me initially but I made some mistakes in the later turns. We called it a straight draw.

League result: EC 2-1 Krieg
Blitz and BTS

A comedy of errors game with plenty of failed activations on both sides. Fortunately we were both unlucky enough to make it fun and dramatic rather than just horrific for one player. Could easily have gone either way.

Game was won thanks to my Spaceship, teleporting terms and chaos marines ganging up to beat up the usually unstoppable Krieg BTS. Even this only happened thanks to an unlucky failed activation from Florian.

Thunderbolts ran riot thanks to my decision to go with just the one AA unit - not to be repeated next year I think

We again used the chess clock, which shows once more that it really helps keeping both players in check and keeping the game moving at an engaging pace. Both players started with 1.15h, pausing for the end of turn step.

Final league results are in. Very tight this time, 1st place came down to me winning my game with Mark. Everyone else was within a win of about 3 places. I'm thinking of running the next league season from October or November. Does anyone have a preference?
