Glad you guys like it so much! Pretty much finished at this point. A little bulkier than I originally intended, but I'm really happy with the final look. It'll give the army the specific objectives I was looking for and I can finally start painting the actual army!

Hi, I actually designed and paid for the sculpting of that mammoth (I called it a northern mammupach) - in fact for all of Eureka's 10 mm fantasy line except the recent Lizardmen. It is nice to see it being used. There is also a "hairless" and slightly smaller version (the southern mammupach). Mammupach is an amalgamation of "mam/moth mu/tant pach/yderm."

Thanks Primarch!

And thanks to you too Sawbones. It's a great sculpt that fit the bill perfectly for the idea I had in my head for the mini-diorama-objective.

Wow. I mean, wow. I am trying to put together a small tyranid force, and if it turns out 10% as good as yours, i'll count myself blessed.
Really looking forward to see the space wolves!

Space Wolf Venerable Dreadnought. The claws are from plastic hormagants, the banner from a 6mm space Marine, and the Wolf head in the banner and pelts on the shoulders are from onslaught. I was trying to decide whether to treat them as ornaments and make them gold or brass or actual pelts and do grey or brown? What's the brain trust think? I'm also open to any ideas to making it look more Venerable and space Wolfy! Thanks!

Looks great! I'm pro-gold/brass for the shoulder ornaments but that's just me. Will have to consider other ideas for venerable space wolfy-ness. Perhaps an actual wolf pelt between the legs? Looks like a lot of fun. :)

Redgeran - reading your post I was reminded that I have a couple 40k grey Hunter sprues tucked away. Since my green stuff skills are less than ideal, I may be able to trim down some fur from a piece on that, along w other bits!

There were a couple bits I though may might make a better "totem" instead of a banner. What do people think: go with a totem or is the scale difference too obvious?

Amazing work as always! I'd stick with the banner, the totems are too big in my opinion. You could pick a company symbol and paint that on the banner. I'll put a vote in for the wolf pelts to be painted brown, but it will look great either way I'm sure.

I think it is fine. Details are already purposely exaggerated in 6mm

Went with a compromise. Kept the flag, but put a wolf skull on the post. I added the fur by the legs on the front and back. Runes under the claw and along the assault cannon, and mounted a large wolf skull as the "head." I'm pretty happy with how it came out!
