Personally, I'd say a bit too big, but considering how comical the Space Puppies 40k units have become of late (GRIMNARCLAUS I LOOK AT YOU), I expect they're absolutely in keeping with what GW would've intended.

They look more like 40k Thunderwolves than normal Fenrisian Wolves (i.e. the ones with Space Wolf Wolf Guard wolf riders led by Harald Deathwolf wolfing down wolf chow with their wolf claws).

Also, fun fact of the day: the Spanish last name López translates directly as Wolfson, so it's actually a great name for Space Lobos characters. You can play La Bamba as your theme song!

More seriously, I think you can use them as they are. The notion of sending normal-sized wolves into a 40k battle is ridiculous, no matter how vicious they may be. Sending giant beasts into battle is a little more palatable.

Yeah they're totally fine, especially when you consider that you're part of the same "based vehicle" camp I'm in as well. The idea is that the unit across the tabletop should be immediately recognizable and hopefully attractive when painted up. So what they're a wee bit bigger than the rest? Scale is already fungable and so you can also just use handwavium to state that the two Thunderwolves are in ability comparable in game terms to the 5 or 6 or even 7 Fenrisian wolves that the unit actually is.

Alright, thanks for the feedback! Its looks like I'll be going forward with them, partially because they are nice models. They scale isn't completely off as mentioned, and they do seem a bit more imposing, an ally you may actually want to have you back when facing xenos, demons, and heretics of assorted nature.

Thanks for the fun facts also, beware Los Lobos Espaciales and their stunning salsa steps! Ole'!

Finally, I managed to get the snow down on the objective to finish it up. A little water effects and artificial snow. I'm quite pleased with the final result.

Just left them outside overnight, huh? The snow's looking lovely, though if anything (and this is being really picky here), I might add more water/ice effect between the drifts to tie them together.

That's one of the best Epic objectives, ever. Love it.

Thanks! I'm glad you guys are enjoying it as much I as am. I like the idea of the objectives having lots of character, so I want to try and capture fluff and personality of the army.

DK - I appreciate the feedback! There's actually smaller bits of snow spread between the larger ones. The angle of the photo, while trying to capture the figures, wasn't too great for showing the spread of smaller lumps of snow. I'll try and get a better angle for it.

Sneak peak of the upcoming "Blitz":

WIP update: Fairly pleases with the "beer effects" and how they came out. There some in the marines' cups as well, but they're so small its hard to see it unfortunately.

I plan to go back to it tomorrow, clean up some flock, add snow, and paint up the Space Wolves. Enjoy!
