WFB is much improved under Gav's stewardship and is probably as good as it ever has been. The Storm of Chaos actually looks promising unlike the miserable wreck that was Albion and 7th ed looks aimed at ironing out the few kinks (clarity & scenarios) that remain in the system. Whereas 40K looks at right mess, even if the new edition may make some improvements. I don't think Gav's recent track record should be knocked. Of course, all IMHO :)

Maybe it was just an innocent case of Andy wanting a change from his current job?!  He's done it for a long time... I switched from computers to neurology just cos I was sick of computers, nothing to do with a bad company or anything.

Hi!

Well, about Gav, I agree with Maksim in his view preferring AC.

I wouldn't be surprised if it were true they got sacked because of deadlines. Its common in the corporate world. You dont "cut it" you get sacked. Pretty simple.

I guess this dispells any notion that GW is, what it projects itself to be. A corporate watching its bottom line. All else is illusion.

Well, until (if) we hear it from AC himself it's all just speculation. As for WHFB, Mr. Thorpe didn't design the 6th edition. Rick Priestley and Tuomas Pirinen did. However, I do agree that Mr. thorpe has progressed somewhat from his early days.

I doubt that we will really hear from the Big C. His departure will be sorely missed, and while there are few people which would affect the company if they left, Mr. Chambers was certainly one of them. I am not sure that I believe the whole thing about deadlines, and I won't until I hear it from a reliable source.
