Hi Guys,
I was perusing the fluff in my mate's edition of the new IG Codex (Have you seen it? ?There is a pic of a full Regiment in 40k scale...Madness!)
Anyhow...the new 40k lists allows an IG player to take Imperial Cult priests aloing as an insipiring type character. ?As this attribute has already been taken by Chaplains and Commissars, how could we represent an Imperial Preachers on the field?
I am thinking as a Supreme Commander's re-roll can only be used for Initiative tests....the Priest could allow a re-roll for Rally tests ONLY at the end of the turn. ?Thus he brings a unique flavour.
Thoughts?

Thoughts? | Sounds like a neat idea. Havent been playtesting much though, so my vote on that is rather irrelevant.
As for the 40K regiment, it does look great, but unfortunately you wont be seeing it at any shows - its a (rather well done) copy & paste job of a single company and various supporting units overlayed. Does look good though!

..I had a sneking suspicion when I saw the picture that that was what it might be... the ammount of models there would make an extremely respectable Epic army...

I was thinking that the new-ish Forgeworld gunwagons could be used as Battlefortress. Does anyone know the size of the Forgeworld gunwagons against the old Skullhamma model? I was banking on Forgeworld's tendency to "go big".

I've only seen the W40K one in real life and not the epic version but I don't think it'd really be big enough to look right as a Battlefortress...

I got some a while back.
I'm afraid they come in too small (IMHO). They're just a tiny fraction longer than the old Bowl Burna model (first that came to hand to compare!). They're certainly noticably smaller than the Battlefortress'

Hi!
I ordered some and they are too small for a battle fortress.

Hi!
Are the epic 40k battlefortresses hard to come by?

Not really. However, 3 nicely sculpted brand new ones for a ?5 would have been nice!

I believe they were a micro machines style toy called "action force" or similar. I know I certainly had quite a few pieces from their ranges - still have some that I used to used for colour scheme test models rather than waste a precious leman Russ!
They also did ranges of HUGE fighting vehicles. I had (might still have somewhere in the loft...) a number of them including an 18 inch long mobile command centre - think CI on steroids. Rather cool at the time & most of them have been pillaged for weaponry & useful gubbinz in more recent years
I havent seen them around in many yeas though.
