Great looking details added here. Consider me inspired. Very nice work.

small set of reinforcements. Jet cycle formation, 2 SPAAG hunters and a razorback
Image

Jet cycles will be used as either assault marine proxies or a 2nd bike formation. The lead bike will be getting a pennant, but ill do it when i do the one for the regular bikers. 28mm RT jetbikes seemed to have normal character banners, like foot marines do … but riding a jet cycle with a large banner flying perpendicular to your direction or travel looks daft. Too daft even for retro marines.

cheers

*edit: dammit i forgot the joke id been saving for this post: literally sneaky beakies!

just done the vehicles for my scouts … this must be what it feels like to be L4 … camo marines and black bases :D

Painted the 'scouts' a while ago but don't think I posted them. These are regular marines done in the really old salamander scheme to mark them out from the main marines and based 4 to a stand, not 5. They also have a couple of camo cloaks sculpted on, which looked great before I painted them, but i regret them a bit now.

I *really* like the old rhino mini now. Annoyingly though its hull is a bit wider than the pred/WW/vindi hull of the same era.

Great work mate now this really takes me back to the good old days of 40k with that colour scheme, sure I still have a White Dwarf somewhere with that scheme in it.

God I'm old.

Just looked that out (see attachment, taken a picture if others are interested) … I should have looked for that before! I was working from the picture of the salamander infantry camo and decided it wouldn't transfer to vehicles well (too blobby), so just did generic pattern. Gotta say i do like camo marines now, though not really comparable with the templars I want to do after the salamanders.
