Thanks for the vote of confidence - depending on how things go I may run another Kickstarter sometime in the near future. While I'd like to avoid the "constant Kickstarter" syndrome, I don't really have the funds to pay for lots of new stuff up front and then hope it sells (at least, not at this point). At least a second one would be easier and faster, now that I actually know what I'm doing ;D

In the meantime, does anyone have any questions about propane or propane accessories?

The tank is roughly 36mm tall, and I designed it with a 40mm footprint (the same length as a rectangular Epic base) so that more than one would fit into the same area as a Medium building - you can get up to four on there.

For people who are looking less grimdark sort of stuff - do the last couple renders posted work for you? Is this the kind of thing you're looking for? I'm always listening for new ideas.

Thanks!

-Chris

I must admit, I love the grim dark / gothic stuff because it /fits/ and is easy to say it's not copyright infringey. Space Elf / Tau looking stuff doesn't have as much plausible deniability.

Any kind of industrial stuff like this is great, though.

Having said all that - have you considered making something... necropolissy - y? @.@

I would love to have some sci fi pyramids/ruins

I know JR Mini and GCM both have good sellers on their industrial / refinery stuff. You should have good pick up if you decided to include that in your catalog.

Industrial stuff's always good, plenty of refineries and such like in the grim dark future...

Those renders are very nice. Much better than anything similar that I have seen. I do like where you are going and I would love to see you push it further with completely modular bulkheads and ramps and gangways. Yes. Epic necromunda! :-D I dislike straight Goth stuff and would very much prefer a more subtle blend of styles.

Looks very good!

Funny, I also did a gas container similar to this, but at the end did not print it yet. Also I went with a slightly different approach.

Curious how it will look in resin.

:D Industrial stuff for the win ;D

If you can make some sort of modular refinery/chemical plant then I will buy a truck load. Distillation columns, cooling towers, reactor vessels, storage tanks, pipe runs, other weird gubbins all would be greatly received ;D

Refinery buildings are still in the concept phase - too many pipes :D but this is something I'm exploring.
In the meantime, I'm having enough trouble with this giant thing here. Do you know what the Imperium needs even more than chemicals?

Steel.

WIP, obviously. So far I think I've planned well enough to make sure everything will fit together. More Pipes!

Nice shapes. There's something odd about that diagonal pipe there. It sort of looks out of scale. Maybe with some sort of exaggerated supports it wouldn't?

Oops, guess I mentioned the approximate size in my blog post but forgot to add that here. The base size is similar to the Flak Tower, at 16cm square - so the same as four Medium buildings combined. Right now the furnace is over 15cm tall (taller than a FW Cathedral) but it could grow a little more before I'm done.

The big pipe looks a little weird, but in my research it looks like a lot of them are just giant, unsupported pipes. They're used to funnel hot gases from the top of the furnace into a cleaning system.

I've been looking at the design again and I'm pondering some changes to make it look a little bit more science-fictiony, so I might revise the way the pipe is connected.

Grimdark has a design logic of its own :-)

Yum. This is going to be interesting. I hope you go easy on the skullz with this one. Maybe some cogwheel icon or something would match the industrial feel of the piece?
