A good rule of thumb for epic infantry is to pick two contrasting reasonably bright colours. The scale and physics of light perception tends to dull colours down when your looking at them on the table, and some colour helps bring it out. So I'd go with the blue, or take the brown and give them some more brightly contrasting shoulder pads and backplate or something. Just my personal opinion!

I was sorely tempted to go with bright orange convict-style jumpsuits with the brown ones.

I'm going to try some new bases with a grey-blue skin tone and another with brown and much brighter clothes.

Google reveals lots of other options in 28mm, but nothing for 6mm other than "Skinnerz Red" which I like a lot.

Thanks!

Two more test bases done:

Yellow:

Grey-blue:

I like the yellow, but the grey-blue is really floating my boat at the moment. I could be wrong, but after painting metal infantry the detail on Grandma Wendy's plastic orks seems a bit "soft". Perhaps it's just me.

Not keen on the yellow skin tone myself, but the blue looks nice. Contrasts nicely with the white on the base too.

That said, I liked the brown, albeit it would echo others in so far as the model as a whole (figs+base) looked quite drab.
Realistic, but on the tabletop it would look a bit 'lost', IMO.

Cheers

Another vote for the blue. If you want it to more skin tone you could do a light red or purple wash on the skin, giving it a purple tint in the recesses. I've seen that work well at 28mm, but it might be hard to do at 6mm. I've not tried yet.

Hi!

The blue offers a nice contrast with the other painted parts. I would go with blue. :)
