When it was a transport, they had very similar roles and there was significant disagreement over whether they were worth it. I thought they were marginally better for twice the points - ugh - but some people liked them as being more aggressive.
Anyway, with the teleport gate, they are now quite different, and not entirely unlike a necron monolith.

And a revelation that we shall be receiving a Falcon variant with better shorter ranged AA capacity, which is why JJ wants to knock the Fire Prism down to 5+ AA.
