Lovely work all around! Is that a Demon world orc riding a dragon in the back? Possibly a Warmaster unit?

Thanks all, be glad when all the basing is done. just prepping a few tyranid proxys to paint up and then get them all based over the weekend

Hi Stormwind, yeah its a demonworld model. built an orc army with demonworld models for hail caesar a while a few months ago, lovely models to paint

Are you not tempted by the Warmaster ruleset? =D

We're having a rennaissance of Warmaster here using both GW models but also plenty of proxies from Pendraken, Magister Militum etc.

yeah have got warmaster and the ancients version, jimmy is right the influence on hail caesar and black powder is very much from warmaster. hail caesar tends to give a more interesting result for me really enjoy the way it can make some warbands so effective in the first round of a combat then melt away if the enemy still stands after a turn or two. the control system is very much warmaster and it includes a system to build your own units by adding or removing special rules so pretty easy to convert.

we do a bit of HC and blackpowder which makes it easy to jump from one ruleset to another with the simiarities.

Yeah, we are fond of BKCII which is like Warmaster except you can fire many times if you get the right command rolls!
