There have been a million threads, on a thousand forums, about how much of a pussy the Avatar is.
However, there isn't one here, and I feel very strongly about it, so I'll start one. Sorry
As it stands (in 40K) the Avatar is awesome in his own way. He is a cheap 80pts. Ooops work calls, got to go.

Agreed, in NetEPIC, we gave him a Daemon Primarch CAF, combined with a ranged throwing spear attack which can rip apart tanks as easily as infantry and of course the best bit...
A 2+ unmodified save which applies even in CC (the only unit to have a save in CC to my knowledge).
He is also free for all Eldar armies, under the NetEPIC 4 rules.
He was very much the Embodiment of the bloody handed god, and I have seen him plow through ranks of the enemy before!

Right, I'm back (kind of).
My computer is still down, and its so broke it has been taken away. It also brought down the network! I told you all I was crap with computers
Anyway, as I was saying,
He's cheap for his current capabilities. As long as he's used right. Put him in a unit, as he cant be targetted. And get him across the table. Once in combat, his stas are good enough to go through units of marines.
However, considering he's an Avatar of a God of war, he sucks really.
I would like a profile that returns to the fluff of the creature. And I dont mind paying for it either.
He is supposed to be made of Iron with molten magma as blood. (strange as the Eldar race dont really use much metal, wraithbone would be more in line with their race)
And yet bolter rounds hurt him, as does flame, plasma and melta weaponry?
He's already a million degrees....how on earth is a flamer going to hurt him?
I would prefer to see the Avatar have an upgrade, and cost a lot more. This would solve two problems. It would make him more inline with the fluff, and it would decrease the regularity of his presence on the battlefield.
Stats along the lines of
WS-BS-S--T--W--I--A--LD--SV 10--0--7--6--4---5--4--10--3/4+INV
Wailing Doom (+1 S and attack, included) [now the weapon finally does something instead of a wooden spoon he had before] Metal body-hence 3+armour save Hard to kill-hence 4+ Inv Immune to heat based weapons (includes all flamer, plasma and melta type weapons)
Plus all the regular stuff from the codex.
240pts (totally off the top of my head)

Sorry Netepic, I didn't mean to ignore your post. It took me over an hour to post that reply, since I had to keep stopping for work
I dont know anything of your game, so dont really know how that all works.
A 2+ invulnerable save isn't hard to figure out that its good though
I plan to go through the rules for your system (I have a feeling that will take some time) and with thinking along the same wavelength as me , makes me think I will probably enjoy it.
An Avatar for free, and an unmodifyable 2+ save? Yes please

Sounds more reasonable to me, in 2nd Ed 40k, he kinda rocked, but in 3rd Ed... well he is very limited for a demi-god. Even though Greater Daemons were toned down as well, another disappointment.
