Yes, that defeats the purpouse of actually crowdfunding the project.

It would if it were a pre-order. This is funding a new range of models.

Yeah inclined to agree with Real Chris on this one. Provided models are released I don't care too much about this detail.

Yep, crowd funding isn't necessarily a "kickstarter"™

Without the crowdfunder the models wouldnt be in production at all. Whether you get the models early or not is pretty irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.

All the backers have made it happen, you will (im sure) get your stuff sooner rather than later, so all is good in my book.

Steve :)

I agree with Sawbones and Mordoten.
Sorry boys but it is not irrelevant in the scheme of things.
Its a sign of return support for those who were crowdfunders.
If a crowdfunding project stated that the miniatures will be available for purchase prior to crowdfunders receiving theirs, it may struggle. Why not just wait and cherry pick.
I don't expect to convince anyone. Maybe its a sign of my age.

have to agree with lylekelm. Yes it's not THAT big of deal but it would be the "right" way of doing it

My apologies then chaps. In future we'll say "no" to SCP if they ask to buy-in early too.
Hopefully the free Crowdfunder-exclusive characters and extra ££ credit for big spenders will help soften the blow of the mistake this time around.
Again, apologies.

TBH I wouldn't count this as a "right" at all. I suppose they are conventions that people have come to expect but that's all.

However I'd see it more from the opposite side as an incentive - i.e. early access and discounts from retail prices are incentives worth offering to encourage people to sign up.

Just adding my 2 pence...

Yes, as a crowdfunder I would like to recieve my mini's before retail customers. However, if saying no to SCP (and/or other retailers) early buy in effects the final outcome, including stretch goals i would prefer to have the funding in place to meet those goals.

To be honest, i would rather have the mini's than not to have them.

I support it to get nice models funded. It helps to get nice free stuff along the way.

Im fine with other can access the models now - why not? Maybe they will help fund the next crowdfunder now they see the models.

+1 with Kyrt and others. No biggie. Just a bit different from how I somehow have come to perceive crowdfunders, that's all. Pretty sure you will not lose any business over this.
